Gamechanger, worth every penny
As others have commented, pedal bolts can be unbelievably tight. I tried using an 8mm allen key with an extension pipe....no good, I felt the key was about to break and could cause me an injury. This is a quality spanner that gets the job done. I don't think a cheaper pressed steel version would have been up to it

Excellent tool
I had a stuck pedal and broke one of my spanners and damaged two more trying to get it off. This pedal spanner got it off no problem. It's very stong. Good thick metal with lots of material around the forks. The length gives you lots of leverage.

Great tool
Wanted to change the pedals on my bike as one was broken, I tried to loosen the pedals with a standard length 15mm spanner, after a struggle I managed to get one loose but the other was not going to undo, after about ten minutes I gave up before I hurt myself. Did some research and decided to buy this specialist pedal spanner, it was delivered next day, a great piece of kit, really well made and easily did the job without tears. The right tool for the job.

Great for removing seized pedals
I bought this as I had a seized pedal on an old crankset. I borrowed other spanners but it wouldnt budge so I purchased this spanner and some penetrating oil. It was a mistake to buy the oil as this spanner was all I needed. It's longer than normal spanners and I think that's what helped; it allowed extra leverage. Seems very well made and it's going to last a long time. A little expensive but if you need to remove a seized pedal then don't buy anything more. This is all you need.

Great: Succeeded with this after breaking normal wrench
I tried to remove a pedal with my normal 15mm wrench. The pedal was so tightly stuck that I struggled and sweated for an hour, I started rounding the pedal wrench flats and broke my standard toolbox wrench. As soon as this WELDTITE wrench arrived, I easily unscrewed the pedal in a few seconds! I could not believe a good tool could make such a difference. This is well worth the price and will last forever. It has a long arm for extra torque. It has a wide section for good contact with the pedal wrench flats. The jaws are much larger than in a normal 15mm wrench to ensure that they do not deform even under heavy stress. With this wrench, all the torque is transferred to the pedal rather than to the elastic deformation of the wrench. The latter makes the wrench slip and spoils the pedal without making it turn.

Lots of leverage to remove stuck pedals
You'll never need a lot of torque when fitting a new pedal (don't forget to add a drop of copper grease!), but sometimes old ones can be very hard to move. This spanner is great; it has a long arm (more leverage), a slight offset which helps you work around the position of cranks and the bike frame, and the two ends are rotated at slightly different angles so you can choose whichever one doesn't shift the rest of the bike when you strain really hard to remove a rusted-on pedal. If a pedal is stuck on *really* tightly, you'll want to use a hammer for extra torque, and this spanner has (so far) stood up to some hard hammer blows without any damage. There are lots of cheaper pedal spanners on the internet, but this one has the highest quality that I've found so far. Forget about the slim pressed-steel spanners included in cheap toolkits. Sooner or later they'll fail to remove a stuck pedal, then you'll buy this one.

Apparently Thor's hammer in spanner form.
Having previously spent most of lockdown fixing my wife's hateful folding mountain bike and learning bike maintenance by sobbing on the kitchen floor surrounded by grease, cheap parts and blood, I thought my days of pain were largely over when I got her some all singing all dancing hub geared thing I wouldn't have a hope in hell of fixing. I mocked fate and it has paid me back seven-fold. So far I've had to remove a kickstand held on by one bolt bent nearly twenty degrees with a head that after one turn of the screwdriver resembled a nail, fed various parts a lot of blood, and now thought "I'll get her some nicer pedals". Eventually the first came off with a loud bang via applying the rear brake, standing on the pedal and yanking a wera 6mm hex key until it bowed visibly. The other rounded out that key, tried to do the same to a snap-on bit before finally the mop handle I was using as for four feet of extra leverage slipped just enough that my hand punched the bike frame. Throughout that whole process blood was emerging from several day old cuts like my body was sending some kind of warning. Then the dewalt impact driver didn't work. But it made me feel a bit better. Then finally this spanner turned up and ten minutes later, a couple of false starts, the thing came off and has been hit repeatedly with a hammer to make me feel better. I would describe it as magical if it wasn't for the fact I now have to find somewhere to put itf for the 20 years until I probably use it again.

Good, solid and simple
I use this in my bike shop I work at and build roughly 20-30 bikes per day depending on holiday seasons. This pedal spanner is my main tool for basic pedals, don’t use it for any heavy duty 15mm sized bolts though and it’s not designed for that. I’ve seen people wreck them with incorrect usage. I’ve used these exact pedal spanner’s for a few years now.

Bravi!

Top Werkzeug in Top Qualität
