I bought this before we brought our new lab puppy home (8 weeks). This has been a great toy. We have had her for 5 weeks now. While she has yet to lay on it peacefully and gently teeth the rings as I envisioned (especially due to reviews)...she very much enjoys this mat. She is violent with it and beats the crap out of it. She loves to terrorize the “head” and overall shakes it with all her mighty puppy strength. The head is starting to deteriorate. I don’t think that is lack of quality in the product...she is rough! Things that are indestructible have proven to be boring. She’s coming into prime teething so I am curious to see if she utilizes the teething rings more. For the past 5 weeks she has enjoyed dragging this around and shaking the life out of it. It doesn’t captivate her interest for long periods of time, but it is certainly one of her favorites and gets played with daily. I think I paid around $35 for it and am comfortable with my return on investment.

My new puppy loves this, too. She lays on it, paws on it, and chews on it all over. She also pooped on it once. It’s definitely durable, as it has endured one week of heavy-duty thrashing with needle-sharp puppy teeth. It's also really great that it's washable. My one gripe is that I wish that I had a better sense of what the various components are made of. I posted a question about that on Amazon, and perhaps tellingly, no one from the company answered. I have a hard time trusting that Chinese-sweatshop-made components are safe for an animal to ingest. (I see that it’s labeled “eco-friendly," but I’m more interested in whether each part, including the foam, is “puppy safe” if a puppy eventually destroys and ingests it. There’s an important difference.) So, I'm watching this carefully, and if/when my puppy actually starts to make a dent in the various components, I’ll likeky pitch this.

We went through three of these when our Great Dane was a puppy and he absolutely loved them! They were by far his favorite toy when he was little. Now that he's gotten older, we wanted to get another to see if he might remember them so were so excited to find out they were for sale once more. He's been so happily bouncing around and playing with it just like he did when he was little and we couldn't possibly be anymore thankful to see him playing just like a puppy again. Worth every penny and then some!

Our puppy enjoys this play mat. She is an aggressive player but only 3 lbs so, it’s held up!just fine. Seems to be made well. It isn’t very big but she fits perfectly on it while playing and also plays from the side and isn’t always sitting directly on it. I’m sure she will still play with it as she gets bigger. I gave it 4 stars because of the size.

This was a great idea but our rough playing Airedale pup managed to go for the zipper in the back. Perhaps I'll replace it with heavy duty velcro. Anyways, she loves it...especially the head and will drag it all over the place before plopping down to chew on the corner rings. Her teeth are very sharp at this point and has frayed the fabric a bit but it's holding out well under her reign of terror. As I stated, the only issue was the back zipper. She chewed on it and the zipper no longer zips but she leaves the mat inside alone (for now). Haven't washed it yet, but it appears easy to clean and may even shrink now some of the pin holes she's made in it with her teeth. It would've been nice if it was a tad bigger for larger pups...possibly adding a roll both horizontal and vertically but not a major concern. Overall, ingenious and our pup loves it. Keeps her very busy which was the intent for purchasing it. She is very high energy.

Quality made from a family business. Sometimes a challenge to move around due to the chew toys hanging off but gives our puppy something to knaw on throughout the night. 5 month update: Our dog doesn't destroy many toys but since he truly loves this one he has ripped off the head, the tail rope, torn a few corner rope rings, put teeth marks in the internal foam and now ripped the underside of the cover. I'm giving this 4 stars still due to the simple fact that he LOVES this thing. Purchased right before they sold out, maybe the new model is more durable. Update with new model: The newer model has some areas where design has decreased in quality. The "tail" rope is not attached nearly as well as the first one. However, so far nothing has been ripped off of it in the 3 weeks since we have received it. He still loves it though!

We now have two puppies through no fault of our own. I can honestly say that the Houndgames puppy toy mat is the absolute best. The girls use it for sleeping, playing, eating, wrestling, teething. It is a great hit in our house. We actually had to order another one because they needed one in their night playpen. I don’t make the rules, I just live here. Five stars. A great purchase, you won’t regret it.

I really want to love this play pad, especially since our puppy LOVES it, but we are having some quality issues. Our puppy is a gentle chewer, but within 15 minutes of playing he found the zipper and pulled it apart at the seam (see picture). I inspected the zipper area and it is very easy to pull the zipper away from the rest of play pad. I am hoping I can get him to ignore this section since he loves the pad so much, but I may have to toss it out if he keeps going for opening. I think a hidden zipper and stronger stitching would make the pad perfect. Besides making it a bit more durable the only thing I would recommend would be having variety of chew toys attached, instead of two of th same ropes and two identical chew toys. Maybe a soft chew and harder chew toy? Just an idea - not effecting my rating since I knew what it came with from the pictures. UPDATE 2/26/18 Sorry, but down to 1 star. The day after I wrote my original review I noticed our puppy chewing on some plastic. It took a few minutes to figure out where it came from... the Play Mat. Apparently the rope rings are just taped together to form each ring/circle. It is VERY unsafe to have plastic so easily accessible to puppy, especially when its easily accessible on a chew toy.

My 11 week old puppy loves this play mat. He drags it everywhere in the house , cutest ever
