My feet are swollen and will not fit standard shoes. I have diabetes and edema. These shoes are soft and the fit feels loose, but that is what I need for comfort. I have tried other wide fit shoes like Sketchers, and they do not offer the wide toe box and ability to fit my swollen feet . I really like the velcro closure, it offers me the ability to adjust the fit when I'm having a bad foot day. I also appreciate the slip-on style on days when my feet are hard to reach.

I bought these for my dad who has Parkinson's and experiences an increasing difficulty with certain motions - esp. gripping - and finer movements, like tying shoelaces or fastening buttons. It's been really difficult to find shoes of this type in Europe. I took the exact measurements of my dad's feet (he also has terrible bunions due to muscle loss) when swollen and the recommended sizes were spot on. It's too hot to wear them now, but my dad was super happy - he is able to put them on himself, the Extra Wide is roomy enough so that it doesn't hurt, and the wide opening makes it easy to slide his foot in without the pain experienced with other shoes. They are also lightweight so he doesn't feel weighed down more than necessary. I ducked one star just because the quality of materials does not seem as good as the shoes my dad is normally used to, but given how little he gets out I think they will do fine overall.

Up to around age 50, my feet were a size 10-1/2 EEE. Then, as I got older, they became size 11, and even wider at a 5 or 6E! That was bad enough, but then came edema with leg and foot swelling. I could barely get my swollen feet into my size 11 6E shoes!! Then I found these FitVille shoes for extra width and swollen feet. The reviews were good, and they looked as if they'd allow for a high instep - actually just puffy swelling in my case. But I figured I'd end up returning them for lack of width, as this has usually been my experience in the past. Well, whoa Nellie!!! I was amazed to find that my feet slid right into these shoes with very little effort. Not only that, they were also plenty wide, even for my 6E width feet! And just as in the listing photos, they're quite good-looking without any obvious signs of the Velcro closures. Sure, I'm old. But obvious Velcro closures make that even more obvious. LOL! To top it all off, these FitVille shoes are very lightweight. I inspected them carefully and found them to be very well-constructed with precision. All parts fit together perfectly, with no signs of excess adhesives. My only complaint is that they're not offered in white. However, the blue shade is quite attractive. I'm a happy camper!

Great pair of shoes. For someone with diabetes and congestive heart failure, and swollen feet, these are absolutely the best shoes. They fit comfortably and are supportive. And, so much easier to order them through Amazon, then through the company themselves.

These shoes fit my husband very well! They are extra wide and he says they are comfortable too. He is disabled so I have to put his shoes on him, these have Velcro closures on both sides and open up well making it easier to put his shoes on him! Well worth the price!

These are certainly wide, I will give you that. The problem is that the velcro system doesn't work very well and the shoes feel loose no matter how I try to tighten them up. They feel okay until I stand up andtry to walking them.I may try a different model that has two straps and appears to have the ability to tighten them up.I wear size 13 and my old mid-height Asics fit better and have laces so they can be made snug. They don't sell them anymore.

I purchased these for my dad who is in his 80s and has always complained about shoes being too tight in width. In recent years I have been buying him Asics that come in double width but he’s still not satisfied with their width. Finally I discovered these FitVille shoes that come in 4 times width (extremely extra wide), slip on and with a Velcro adjustable strap allowing for a range of tightness and quickly securing in place. My dad is able to put them on without bending over given they don’t need tying which helps with slower mobility and difficulty bending at his age. They also look very stylish and are suitable for dressing up or dressing down so very versatile. He says they are the most comfortable and convenient shoes he has had and loves the width being wider than any other shoes he has tried. I will be purchasing him more from this brand. Also the shoe feels high quality consistent with top brand sports shoes but is much cheaper than other brands of comparable quality. They don’t feel like a cheap brand you might find in many department stores or shoe stores that don’t stock top sports brands. Very impressed and recommend these if the features I describe are what you need.

These are a fantastic shoe for anyone with swollen feet - easy to put on and the velcro straps each side are easy to fasten without getting in the way. Very comfortable. They look like a normal sports shoe rather than a shoe with velcro straps. Definitely recommend.
