Great game - totally underrated except by those familiar. This is a great solo addition to a great game!

I had played Its a Wonderful World at a friend's house so I wanted my own copy. I had a gift card, so I also ordered the expansions. I didn't really research the expansions, which is my fault, and had I known it was this kind of "single use" expansion I probably wouldn't have bought it. My friend said this kind of expansion was common at the time it came out, so I guess they were following a trend, but I think the whole "don't open the envelope until you play and finish the earlier rounds" is a waste. The added expense of packaging and enveloping the various rounds added more to the cost than the "surprise" is worth. Board Gamers a) Like to know the rules before playing the game and b) Are good at not letting spoilers alter how they play a game. There's no reason the new cards and rules need to be sprung on the players at game time. This should have been a small package, $15-20 expansion.
