Works Like a Charm β A Must-Have for the Workshop!
I picked up the Ortis Automatic Vacuum Switch to streamline my shop setup, and I couldnβt be happier. It automatically turns on my shop vac when I power up my tools (like my miter saw or sander), and then turns it off a few seconds after the tool shuts down. Itβs one of those little upgrades that makes a big difference.Setup was super easyβjust plug in your tool and vacuum, and you're good to go. The delay is just right: it gives enough time to clear the dust without keeping the vac running forever. The build quality feels solid, and I appreciate that it can handle higher power tools without any issues. Now I donβt have to remember to switch the vacuum on and off every timeβitβs automatic, clean, and efficient. If you're doing any kind of woodworking or garage work with dust collection, this is a no-brainer. Totally worth it!

Improves shop workflow. Time delay works perfect and it handles the power of your vac and tools
This is an awesome product for a small garage workshop using a shop vac as my "dust collector". I got tired of turning my vacuum on and off every time I wanted to make a quick miter or table saw cut. I tried remote plugs for the shopvac but kept losing the remote. This is by far the best option and when I saw this product at a reasonable price compared to some others on the market, it was an easy decision to buy it. I can plug in my shop vac, miter saw, and table saw, and leave them plugged in. The time delay for the vacuum to switch on after the tool works perfect so you don't draw too much power all at once. It does take a little bit of getting used to letting the shop vac turn on after you've started your saw before you make the cut, but its not bad at all. It only takes a second or 2 to kick on and the feature is well worth it to prevent too much power consumption all at once. This relatively cheap tool makes your workflow in a small shop SO much easier and without fuss - it just works every time. The product seems to be well made and I have had no issues so far after a couple months of use. Time will tell how long it lasts, but so far it doesn't show any signs of wearing out or not lasting. If you are on the fence, just do it and thank me later!

Run dust collection and saw for dust free shop
I use this to run my miter saw and shop vac for aDustless shop. The timer is set long enough to stay on after the saw stops for a few seconds to make sure most the chips are sucked up. It has a nail hanger notch on the back to hang on the wall. So far the quality is durable and holding up great. I am looking at another one for the table saw! I have a small 2.5 gallon shop vac but need to upgrade to a larger one for more dust capacity. You can switch it on to run the vacuum without the saw which makes a great feature. Works like it should and very happy with it.

Works well
Works really well. I use on my table saw and the vac I use to catch the chips. Vac turns on when I start the saw, no .ore forgetting or having to walk around and start the vac first

Didn't quite work for my application....
I moved my router table setup from the garage to my basement. I have everything connected to a Kreg router table paddle switch with two outlets that turns on the router and the shopvac dust collection at the same time. First time I fired up the combo in my basement it tripped the 15amp breaker. Figuring there was too much amp draw when both power tools started up It looked like a delay vacumn switch was in order. The Ortis automatic vacumn switch looked like a good choice, it even has 2 outlets for multiple tools, so less potential power tool plug switching. Since the router power switch is under the table and inconvienent to get to I orginally bought the Kreg 2 outlet switch which I fastened to the front of the router table which facilitated turning on the router and dust collection at the same time, in the garage with a 20amp circut there were no issues. The problem with the ortis switch is that when connected to power, both of the lower plugs are always hot, which means If I want to use the Ortis switch as designed ( vacumn delay on&off) then I have to reach under the router table and turn off the router or else pull the router plug out of the Ortis switch when I'm done routing which is a hassle.....or I plug the Kreg switch into the main power and then plug the router ππ£π the ortis switch into the Kreg switch. This technique works well to turn on the the router and the delayed shopvac via the ortis switch but negates the Ortis's delay off feature since the Kreg switch cuts off the power to the Ortis switch. A fix for all this might possibly be a remote switch but then there's more money to shell out.

Excellent product! Solved a big problem for me!
This thing is awesome! I have my dust collector, planer and drum sander plugged into it so either one triggers the dust collector to come on as soon as they are turned on. Perfect!
