Portable 6.7 Inch 440C Fixed Blade Outdoor Camping Straight Knife With Kydex Sheath - Black

I have not owned or handled the authentic Benchmade SOCP dagger so I don’t have a complete reference comparison to make. However, the quality of this clone is exceptionally good especially considering the $20 price tag I paid for it from Amazon prime with free shipping. Is the Benchmade SOCP worth an additional $100? If I could afford it, the extra hundred dollars would have been worth it to support an American made product and an American design that is being knocked off unfortunately and I’m guilty of supporting that. But I am not a special forces operator or LEO, just a middle-age guy with a dad bod who wants one extra layer of self defense protection in addition to my EDC pistol. I’ve seen a few complaints of retention in the sheath, mine has no problem at all. The retention is tight and gives a positive click and felt resistance when the blade is inserted or withdrawn from the sheath. Perhaps there are some quality control variations and if you receive one with poor retention, I think you can fix it by putting a heat gun or hair blower at the middle point of the sheath and pressing in so that it tightens against the blade. See my video on that. Overall, it is an incredibly well thought out design and this clone seems to match the quality of the original other than a different finish. When clipped inside the waistband in an angle, it is fairly comfortable to sit with it in place. However, the loop Tang of the knife does cut into my gut a little because I have a little extra around the waist. Bench made makes a square leather pad that should fit and cost $10 on their website which I will probably get. For the price you can’t go wrong..

The knife is better than I had imagined it would be for such a low price. Fits my hand nicely. The supplied sheath fits tightly too. Interesting design. EDC

Lightweight and slim. Great little dagger that came sharp. The removal end is big enough to try different pull and carrying options. Blade is thick enough for some basic usage.

Bought this for a friend for Christmas. He said it is awesome!. Built well and nicely balanced.

obviously a chinese clone without the best steel but the retention is phenomenal on the kydex, despite reviews I can violently shake upside down with no issues and as others have said can use the hair dryer to fix if that's your issue. Cuts well no complaints fun cheap alternative to a standard socp. Only issue was clip can bend easy but the screws are super easy to remove and put back and any clip adjustments can easily be made with pliers, plus while I still have the oem clip on it it's the same size as several ulti-clips.

Too tall for my ankle boots but clips nicely into my purse.

The clip is very weak. When removing the knife from the sheath many times the sheath comes off with the knife. After 3 months the clips broke off from the sheath. Nice knife but absolute piece of crap sheath.

Does what it needs to do, one flaw, the clip doesn’t hold very well. When you pull the knife the sheath will come with it. Other than that, it’s a good knife

SHARP ! Ring makes it easy to deploy and small size makes it almost invisible. Would be very effective for self defence in a close quarters environment or situation. I hope I never have to use this item as those types of situations are the only thing that this item is good for. I only carry it as I work in a sketchy part of town and as a last possible resort..

Clip no sujeta bien al desenfundar , si tiene buen filo el cuchillo ; al portarlo a la cintura oculta es muy incomoda por los bordes muy afilados del círculo donde entra el dedo , cumple con su función pero no es la mejor opción

As much as I’d want to spend $ on a SOCP. Reading enough reviews online it seemed like it was a more than decent alternative for not being out of bank. And honestly it does what it needs to do. Sharper than I expected as well. And a good thickness. Plus like the sheath it looks like it would work well with a leg holster.

I've received the item on time as promised. Product looks good, feels good. Quality seems ok (7.5 out of 10) nice and light. Holster is perfect. Price,,, could be better. Overall will do great with my collection. Keep in mind if you live in Canada this is absolutely illegal to wear in public.
