This is a question almost nobody asks on any velcro product on amazon but how many lbs can one square hold... also how much can 4 hold at corners?

From the web: "This is something that interests me also, so I went to the Velcro website and looked around. The 3rd link in my source list below is the page for standard woven Velcro (there are also fancier versions - see link/source (4) for example). It had a link to a 3-page pdf document ("product information guide") that is a kind of spec sheet rating all of the different products. The different measures that they specify are explained on the web page that is (5) in my list. The one you care about for your application is shear strength.The 1st product in their list ("Hook 65 and Loop 1000") is rated at 13.0 PSI. I converted that to metric units and I got 914 grams per square centimeter. Bottom line: the Velcro should be more than adequate for what you want to do. This assumes that the Velcro is the weakest link in the chain, so to speak - that the adhesive or whatever you use to attach the two sides to the metronome and the wall are stronger than the Velcro.My practical experience: I've used Velcro for all kind of things and I would say that 300 grams is nothing for a reasonable sized patch (say a square inch) piece of Velcro. can i usethem insteadof   buttons in a shirt>

Yes I suspect you could BUT .....here is what I would do.
1. Remove buttons and resew them by hand on the button holes. 
2. The squares would have to be sewn on by a sewing machine or the pull would rip them from the shirt after one wearing.

Would this hold a small ring indoor camera on a wall?

Probably, depending on how exposed to sun it is. I use it for my Easy Pass but if I leave it up 24hrs a day and exposed to the sun the glue lets go.
