Great reel for a budget conscious fisherman
I rigged this reel with 30 pound mono, attached it to my 10โ surf rod and took it to Lake McConaughy. At first I had a lot of issues with line slipping off the spool and getting caught in the gears behind the reel. Once the line formed to the reel it wasnโt such a problem. I also may have put too much line on initially. Overall I caught a lot of fish and the reel was smooth and consistent. I would definitely recommend.
