Great taste and a great gift!!
First off let me say I live in a coffee culture. Here in the DR we donโt mess around. We grow it, we roast it, and we drink it. Ordering was easy and my solo pack of coffee arrived quickly. Not wanting to experience this little bit of luxury by myself I we t to my Argentinian friends house who has a grinder and a moka pot or greka as theyโre called here. First off: packaging is simple but elegant. But definitely lets you know youโve ordered something special. 2. Beans were sealed in a vacuum sealed envelope and when it opened the smell of the beans filled the room with a wonderful aroma. 3. You could see the beans were glistening with the oils that make for good flavor and smelled great out of the package. 4. Ground nicely and packed down well in the greka. 5. As it brewed, the rich strong aroma was making us all excited to try it. We were sure not to leave it on the stove for too long because we didnโt want to burn it. 6. Poured into porcelain cups we all decided to try it black without anything in it to start and what really came across to me was a) the smoothness. Not bitter at all. And b) the fruity taste and smell from the coffee. The taste is amazing. And as someone who usually pounds a ton of milk into his coffee I can tell you I would have no problem drinking this black. 6. Decide to try the last 1/3 of a cup with milk and it was amazing. All the flavor held through the creaminess of the now โcafe con lecheโ Overall a fantastic coffee experiment and would make a great gift for someone who loves the ritual of making coffee. The steps involved and of course the novelty of the process. Is it expensive ? Yes. But sometimes itโs ok to let yourself enjoy something special it treats someone to that experience.

It is what it says
I am not a coffee snob, but I can tell the difference between good and bad tasting coffee. My wife, is the "real" coffee drinker in the family, and she knows even better than I. We got this, as we had tried the Kopi Luwak coffee, and while we found it a bit less bitter than most coffees we have had, it was just slightly so. For the cost vs amount received, we had hoped for a bit more. But, it was a good starting point to try. Then we were told about this, and figured even if it was about the same, it would put us in a unique position to tell our friends and family that we had tried "elephant poop coffee" or the "most expensive cup of coffee in the world". We weren't expecting much, but we were surprised. While it did only produce a normal mug size for her (forget the exact size of her mug, but 12-16 oz I believe), and an espresso cup size for me, we both found it to be an excellent coffee. There was not a hint of bitterness to be found and the taste was very smooth and delicious. It was, as it was stated to be. An excellent cup of coffee that was very expensive. The fact that it also helps support the community and elephants was nice as well. I am sure that the company isn't operating at a loss either, but they don't seem to be greedily gathering up wild elephants and shoving coffee berries down their throats, but rather doing it on a much smaller scale where everyone involved (including the elephamts) are benefiting. TL:DR: If you are more into coffee than just hitting the convenience store on the way to work, and know how to properly brew it, you can get an excellent, smooth, non-bitter cup of coffee that will also give you a unique bit of conversation to toss in when speaking with friends and relatives while also helping to support at least one group of elephants and their human friends and neighbors in Thailand.

I wonโt make the same mistake of buying it again.
I expected the coffee to have a strong, authentic, and unique flavor, but it was quite the opposite.

Amazing coffee!!
Wow this coffee is expensive but equally good, it's got luxury written all over it, from the gold seal to the funky valve on the inner vacuum packaging. When you open it, itโs whole beans that you must grind fresh. Bit of a pain because I didn't have a grinder, but easily sorted because I took it down to my coffee shop who were happy to grind them for me. When I brewed it in my Mocha pot, what hit me was the really pleasant coffee smell, you can almost taste it in the air. It's a strong coffee aroma, but that is deceptive because the taste is very light but velvety and again luxurious. An unmistakeable taste, and an unforgettable experience. Thumbs up to Black Ivory. Best coffee I've had by far.

Amazing Coffee
I have a deep passion for coffee! A friend introduced me to Black Ivory, and I was captivated by its unique process and scarcity. Upon tasting Black Ivory, I was thrilled by its exceptional flavor and absence of bitterness. In addition to its taste, Black Ivory surpasses all other gourmet coffee offerings in flavor, rarity, and ethical considerations. I have sampled numerous coffees in the past, but this one truly astonished me with its exquisite taste! I intend to order more to have available for special occasions. I wholeheartedly recommend this product!

delights the palate!
After seeing this coffee on the morning show my wife and had to try it..being coffee lovers we were also intrigued by the story behind this coffee. We were pleasantly surprised by the incredible aroma when ground we noticed notes of chocolate, dried fruit (date I believe ) and how the aftertaste was sweet and completely lacking in bitterness. I do strongly recommend this coffee. It may seem a bit pricey but for the occasional indulgence it is very worth it. This coffee also makes perfect gift for the coffee lover in your life who has everything.

Actually worth it
I and my fiancee as coffee lovers, decided to make our anniversary special by ordering this coffee, which we had actually seen being sold more expensively on another well known upscale website. We have tasted lots of different boutique coffee before, but were blown away by this coffee, which had a beautiful taste which we have had a hard job pinning down. There was a sweetness to it which we have not encountered before, which was quite refined. We were quite upset to have finished our drinks, considering ordering more....but it is for special occasions, so we will wait for that. Highly recommended.
