The Real Deal
I wanted to have a kinetic rope in my off-road recovery kit and at first considered saving some money by getting one of the "made in China" ropes which had decent reviews but I just could not bring myself to do it. The type of off-roading I do should very rarely require it but in those rare times when I do need, I will REALLY need it and did not feel comfortable with a budget piece of gear of unknown quality particularly in terms of safety. I spent the money to get this one to buy once and cry once but then know that I have a "battle tested" piece of gear that has been properly tested and rated for its use. Glad I did, this is a very heavy duty rope with all of the weight ratings clearly marked on it and Yankum ropes have a solid reputation. I hope I never need it but know I can count on it if I do.

What a great deal, and worth every cent.
Saw Yankum ropes on three YouTube off road recovery channels Matt's off-road recovery, FabRats, Bobby Layton. Don't recall which one gave the Yankum Factory tour, but the quality control they demonstrated, and the made in America with a competitive price sold me. So far I've used it twice for recovering a 10,000# John Deere with my pickup. Easiest recovering I've ever done by far. The advantage of a kinetic rope over the chains I've used in the past cannot be overstated. A much easier and gentler pull/bounce.I focused on a good rope, and went cheap on the soft shackles. Figured I can upgrade those later if needed. Definitely love the Yankum ropes! Look for a YouTube video tour of the manufacturing process if you have any doubts.

Smooth Towing
I got this rope to be able to pull out anyone that got stuck 4wheeling including myself. Went camping and my truck broke down. I’ve towed a lot of vehicles in my life but this rope made my tow to a shop 15 miles away a breeze. No jerks, just as smooth as could be even with a 16 year old in the tow vehicle that had never driven a towed vehicle. I gave him good instructions but I think the tow rope was the biggest helper. My truck is an OBS F250 7.3L 4x4 so about 8,000 lbs. and it was towed easily by my Van. GREAT ROPE!

Part of my emergency road kit
This is a well built rope tow line. Bought it for emergency purposes. Carry with me for back county and adverse weather travel. Haven't used it yet, hope I don't have to, but I have it as part of my emergency kit.
