Good quality/value - next best to fresh fruit!
I prefer this for making my own tamarind paste/concentrare than the bottled ones. Buying fresh tamarind fruit pods could be "iffy" as some come moldy and often dry. With a little extra effort and time, you'll get an excellent tamarind paste from this product which can be easily adjusted for thickness or thinness by the addition of more/less water. I highly recommend this brand.

Fresh, natural, really good for you.
This is some of the best and freshest i've come across. I salt this and let the sun dry it for a few days, it's delicious as a tart snack, with fruits and really tasty on alot of dishes. Careful not to eat too much or chew it the entire time. It's best eaten like a 'hard candy" until it melts in your mouth, any of the flesh is edible and the seeds if any, are plantable, saveable and useable for other things.

Good product, but not seedless
The product I received was good quality, but was not seedless. Most of the seeds had been removed, but I ended up with about 20 whole seeds and some small fragments of seeds and shells in the mix, but they were not too much trouble to strain out after steeping the pulp in hot water. The flavor was good and the product seemed fresh (unspoiled). I found this to be an overall good value.

This is the best!
On my 3rd block of tamarind, excellent and sour. I use it to make Mexican tamarind candy (which involves cooking it down.) It does have son pulp strings and a few seeds but it is the best block tamarind I have ever used!

Definitely not seedless.
While it tastes great, the claim of “seedless” is false. If you don’t mind dealing with the seeds then you’ll enjoy the quality. If you truly would like seedless tamarind paste you’ll need to search further.

Real thing. Will be buying again.
Quality product. The picture shows sauce I made out of half block of tamarind. I put 1/2 lbs( about half package) in very hot 2 cups of water( I did cut tamarind in small chunks so hot water can beter penetrate tamarind), let it sit for about 40 minutes and then I strained it through mesh strainer by pushing pulp with spoon. Thanks for a great product!

Delicious
We were trying to make Pad Thai and could not quite get the taste. This Tamarind paste did the trick! You have to dissolve it in a sauce pan with a tiny bit of water and chop it up a bit with a wood stir stick. Great product, will buy it again!

Good remedy for constipation
My wife uses it for juices when the kids or adults are constipated. It works all the time. She cooks it first with a little of water and then she uses a strainer to get rid of the seeds. The juice is delicious.
