ZERO STARS. This monitor loses connection constantly. It’s incredibly frustrating when you finally get your baby to bed and you want to go to bed but you can’t because the monitor won’t work. When it works, it’s good quality and clear. But it rarely works. I regret buying and wish the return window was longer since baby wasn’t sleeping in her crib until after the return window closed. When it loses connection it makes the LOUDEST beeping noise (despite the volume you have it set to), which is so annoying because at this point your baby is sleeping and you’re trying to fix the monitor but the loud beeping could wake your baby. The worst part is that it’s impossible to fix. There are no troubleshooting tips. We have tried unplugging for a while then plugging back in. Sometimes we take the camera and parent unit next to the router and after 30 min it will finally work but then we have to unplug to put back in babies room and it won’t work. Save yourself the frustration and do not buy!

Tanto mi esposo como yo hemos descargado la aplicación en nuestros teléfonos móviles, dejando el monitor fijo en la cocina, y las opciones para sacarle provecho son infinitas. Eso sí, a veces se presentan incompatibilidades entre la cámara y monitor y las redes de wifi de nuestra casa, por eso debemos resetear el monitor cada cierto tiempo.

So many issues with this camera, but most recently it has disconnected from the parent unit at very inconvenient times and been very difficult to pair again. I was able to pair while talking to a tech but not on my own following the same steps. The parent unit beeps really loud when it’s disconnected too. The temperature is always different than another thermometer in the same room. I got this camera specifically for the face covering and roll over detection but it would go off (loud beeping) every time baby turned her face to the side so I had to turn the feature off. This camera also doesn’t work with a universal baby monitor stand so we paid $80 for a special one that will only work with this specific camera. If the camera is left on during the day it constantly sends push notifications to my phone that baby is asleep and awake when baby isn’t in the crib. When getting up in the middle of the night to tend to baby it’s been easiest to just turn off the parent unit so the parent still sleeping doesn’t hear everything through it but tonight when we did that the camera wouldn’t connect when we turned it back on, which woke baby back up as we tried to reconnect and prompted us to finally just buy a different monitor and stand unfortunately. From what I can tell, they don’t even sell this monitor anymore, so that tells me they know how dysfunctional it is. Really disappointed and frustrated! Would most certainly not recommend!!

My wife got a recommendation for this product from her friend who found this innovative and very effective. The 5" viewer become our new handy item which we take across the home to keep an eye on her. We have also installed the app on our mobile phones, which allow us to check on the baby even either of us are not at home. The night vision is just perfect, even in darkness, we can clearly see she sleeping soundly and with the adaptive color night light we soothe the baby when required or just simply watch her sleep without switching on the room lights. The temperature sensor helps us monitor the ambient room temperature. We are fascinated by the intelligent alerts such as when baby face is not visible or covered by bed sheet. We have seen this work multiple times perfectly and is superb feature. The app also has sleep monitoring dashboard providing nice analysis of my girl sleep patterns and how much she sleeps , wakes up etc. The best part is continuous recording, every morning, we see the video on how she behaves across the night at quick glance using the slider, this a truly amazing and fast, and the video is stored locally on the camera, not on cloud.

UPDATED: I'M STICKING WITH MY ONE STAR REVIEW. The connection for this unit is super unreliable. I've had several moments where I've gotten my baby down to sleep only to find the monitor won't connect. It won't connect via Wi-Fi or directly to the monitor display. No amount of unplugging and plugging in fixed it. It just randomly fixes itself, typically after the baby has woken up. I'm about to throw it through a window. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. Also, we did get a relacement monitor from VTech and the receiver display unit busted just like the first one. The plastic is so fragile it just comes apart. No durability to this unit whatsoever, and the connectivity is also still shoty. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I don't know what happened, but all the plastic clips holding the screen on the monitor broke. We haven't ever dropped the unit, so there's no reason they should have broken. I just started to hear a rattling in the unit, which I thought was odd, then noticed that the front of the screen was separating from the body. This was very disappointing. I opened up the back, and all the little clip fragments fell out. When looking at them they look super fragile, so it's not a huge surprise they broke I guess. Still, very frustrating for how expensive the unit was.

Occasional connectivity issues but overall reliable and good quality video. The white noise function has been great in helping our son sleep.
