This works great for first-time people looking to spin pens - the weights are a little wobbly though out of the box and sometimes just slide down the pen shaft. I would recommend wrapping a small rubber band beneath the weights on each one to hold them in place. After that, they work perfectly!

To clarify further, this is NOT an ink-based writing instrument, commonly refereed to as a "pen". It's a plastic stick with overly heavy weights on each end. If you twirl your pens/pencils, this is NOT what you're looking for. Too long, weight is balanced unlike pens/pencils. This is a cash grab rather than a novel idea with both function and form. Was returned after 5 minutes out of the packaging.
