It focuses on Roboute Guilliman’s reawakening, his grand plans for the newly minted Primaris Space Marines, his war with Mortarion and- most interestingly- his relationship with the Emperor of Mankind. Review: Ending was top notch - I thought this was a mediocre book for most of it, but the ending pulled it out for me. I'm not a fan of hte super space marines, but will watch how this goes.

Rowboat Gorillaman and the crisis of the Imperium and faith
It’s a great book. I enjoyed seeing Bobby G deal with not only the crushing bureaucracy of the Imperium and corruption but also various conflicts in a very much Dark Imperium, torn asunder by Chaos and beset on all sides. His crisis of faith is highlighted also quite nicely as he’s the only one who has spoken to the Emperor in an extremely long time and this continues to haunt him. You get to see some solid Death Guard action also and it’s always cool to see servants of the Primordial Truth like Kugath the Plaguefather, Bobby G’s stinky brother Mortarion, etc.

Great story! Great Writing
I don't read often. However i enjoyed this book alot! Would recommend, to (1) Warhammer fans (2) people who enjoy fiction based war stories (like starship troopers).

Good Time
If you enjoy science fiction and 40k you will enjoy this book. Cool heavy concepts. Like the perspective of the primarch.

A Noble Effort
This was an OK book. The prose was pretty strong and I thought that the author did a fair job of presenting the backdrop and leading in to the revival of the primarch. That being said, there were a lot of details left out (perhaps intentionally by GW?). The bar for writing about the return of a loyalist primarch is astronomically high in a universe of novels that has known nothing but the Imperium struggling alone to fend off Chaos for ten millennia. Sadly, this book falls short of capturing the grandeur of such an event and I couldn't help but feel disappointed. It was good enough to make me look forward to the next installment, however. In order to legitimize the new primarch, I really think they will need to allow him to kill one of the Chaos primarchs. P.S. The primaris space marines are a cheap novelty and I hated their introduction.

Really fun
I loved it all. It was a great Warhammer 40K book and one to start a great series. Guilliman was amazing and so were the side characters. Though I thought it would tell of his revival I am very pleased we get to see the beginning of the Plague War.

Right book but long wait time
I finally received this book in the mail, and it's in perfect condition and exactly what I ordered. But I have to take two stars off because it took almost six weeks to arrive, which is a bit lengthy for domestic shipping.

Buena novela para desconectar y olvidarte del día a día. Si te gusta el sci-fi, claro.

Read it for the RG. Frankly he talks too much (rambles/wines) and the "female diplomat" going head to head with the big guy was so jarring. Anything primate, sucks. Its like an account of spook operator meets toy advertisment.

Very good book, very good story. As an Ultramarines and Guilliman fan, it's a must-read
