Mammoth Camping Hatchet Axe, 15" Camping Bushcraft Axe

Perfect balance, fits the hand perfectly. Maintains its edge.

Great camping device, works well.

The weight and feel of the hatchet are very nice. The handle is ergonomic and comfortable to hold. Can tell it will easily chop through wood. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is there is a sticky covering on the blade that is a pain to clean off and it could be a bit sharper when arriving. A quick touch up from a stone did the trick. Otherwise, I am extremely happy.

It’s sharp and has a lot of potential but I’ve used this axe twice to split some wood and it works well but the axe head is practically about to fall off already, pretty disappointing.

Well made and quality

Feels sturdy and well made. Has a nice convex grind but came dull will have to give it a pass on the belt sander to get it hair popping sharp. Good heft and size for a pack axe. Nicely radiused and generous cutting head should be a great chopper once I get it sharpened up to my satisfaction.

I read several reviews that said this axe had a loose head and was dull. I thought the head looked nice and the steel was decent. That is the only reason I bought this axe. It came as expected with one exception, it has a really nice sheath. I bought this axe expecting a dull axe with a wobbly head and that’s what I got at a great price. I want to learn how to replace the handle on my axe. I wanted a 20” handle and that’s what I’m replacing it with. If you are expecting an axe that is safe for chopping tasks, I don’t this is the axe you’re looking for. And again, awesome sheath.

This was a present for my son and he loves it!
