Have used stick on felt based products and they generally do not last long and collect dust and hair. These sliders are simple to install and work great. We recently has LVP flooring installed and felt does not slide at all on it. Seriously, it was more difficult to remove the felt product that we had used than to drill the holes and screw the holders in place and insert the caps. The slide well and do not mark the floor. Now just need to get some more to do the dining room chairs. I do not know if they would stay on if just stick on but it is so easy to screw on I would recommend that

Bought 3/4" glides in April 24' for $12.49. I used them on a vintage china cabinet that sits on a hard wood floor. I didn't like any of the stick on glides and figured they'd eventually come off. These glides screw on, make a tap hole first for a much easier installation. Screws instead of sticky means there's no worry of the glides shifting or falling off the next time the cabinet is moved. -- They are plastic though, so one day in the future the plastic will break down, become brittle and fall apart. But I guess that's a problem for the next generation.

My wife had added felt pads to bottom of the dining room chairs...which turned into a disaster. The felt picked up hair, dust, and everything else leaving them looking like wads of dust you find under the refrigerator when you have to move it on rare occasions. Then the adhesive on the pads would not hold (despite the fact that these chairs are hardly used). The pads would slip off to one side and the adhesive would stick to the floor creating additional dirt streaks as dust and such accumulated to the adhesive. These are a far better product. They are extremely secure thanks to the included screws, are far easier to install than the products that use nails that you have to hammer into the often thin chair legs (way to easy to damage something), and do a good job of letting the chair slide over the cheap laminate flooring installed in our house without scratching. My only concern with this is the cap that you place on them after installing the base. The cap is what the chair primarily sits on, and you simply push it into place after securing the base. I believe they are going to hold up, but I could also see them cracking or breaking apart in some way or possibly just slipping out on their own after enough wear and tear. That said, they are still a far better alternative to anything else I've seen.

Absolute waste of money. Made our chairs about an inch taller which made the leg spacing a bit awkward. Could have lived with it if that was the only issue but they kept popping of and making the chairs slam down. Slightly dangerous but also more damaging. Totally defeated the purpose of trying to protect the floors.

After reading some of the reviews I went ahead and bought these glides for our dinning room chairs and let me tell you they are perfect for tiled floors. I was surprised by how quiet they make the chairs, like hush quiet! They are a bit tall but you can't really see them once installed. I will buy more of these products for the rest of our furniture! Following these instructions and you will love this product as well: 1- Take off worn out caps or nails 2- Clean the bottom of the legs 3- Get the right size drill bit (1/8 bit worked for me) and carefully drill a hole in the center bottom of the leg, make sure it's shorter than the length of the screw 4- Peel off the sticker cover and align the caps center hole to the hole you drilled 5- Slowly drill in your screw and DO NOT over screw. (Go easy on the trigger) 6-***EXTRA STEP*** I read some complaints about the caps coming off so I added a dab of glue with my glue gun on top of the screw 7- Put your cap on

Product works well. However, comes with exact number of parts for 4 chairs (which is what I needed). Two of the screws were machined poorly and could not be screwed in. Plastic pieces weee within specification but not perfect.

Finally a chair glide that doesn’t get clogged with dirt and dog hair.

They were easy to install. I definitely recommend using the screw as the sticky pad alone won't keep it on your chair. Having the sticky pad was nice to have though as it held the glide on long enough to put the screw in. They're louder gliding than I had hoped but they do glide well over my vinyl flooring.

These are fantastic ! I ordered these for a new coffee table and liked them so much I ended up ordering 2 more packets for all my chairs and side tables. I previously had ones that were mental with like a felt material topper on my chair legs, but they had a habit of holding dirt and then smearing it across the floor after mopping or whatever, these ones being completely plastic will not retain dirt and are much easier to clean and keep the floor cleaner. To my surprise and delight they also slide allong the flooring better than the ones I had with felt topper on them. I cannot speak for longevity but they feel like they will last a long time and I love the fact that they can be both screwed in and stuck on. Would 100% reccomend.

OMG!!!! These are great. I had to pull my Nespresso Vertuo coffee machine out from the corner (condo kitchen spacing!) and I dreaded it every morning because the machine would always stick and not glide ...well this is a new type of heaven now that I put these on the bottom!!! :)

These are great, have been on my dining chairs for a few months and have been great. Works well on hard floors and stops the annoying noise and protects floors and the chair legs also.

Bought them to replace old nailed-on glides and these seem to be of a good quality. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because one screw came defective and completely unusable - without slots in the head, never saw it before. Another thing which makes me somewhat sceptical about these is that the cap is too thin - these caps are wearing down with time and this set may only last for a couple years. Another similar set I bought 7 years ago is approaching the end of it's usable life - caps are paper thin and should be replaced soon, even though the caps were originally almost three times thicker.

Just the job extremely well. Makes moving furniture so easy
