Review: arina tanemura does it again! - okay, so this is a re-release of one of arinas earlier titles, but in this version the book count has been reduced from 7 books to 5 books, because they had made each of them slightly bigger. the book is just shy of 250 pages so its not a noticeable difference, but it means that you are able to get through the story quicker. in comparison to the original release the images are sharper, and i love the colour illustration in the front. i cant wait for the rest of the series to be released, i hope they all have one. this book is by one of my favourite manga authors and is a great buy for lovers of the magical girl genre. Review: Phantom Thief Jeanne 1 - As always, another excellent title from the pen of Arina Tanemura. However, this is not quite as new as it seems. ASIN:1421565900 Phantom Thief Jeanne 1 is a reprint of the CMX published Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne. Having said that, it is a considerable improvement. The artwork is sharper, with a color insert at the front, and the translation, which is new, reads very well. Better still, Viz have squeezed in six chapters, as opposed to the original four. As a long time fan of Ms. Tanemura, I shall purchase the rest, and replace the previous editions on my shelf, hence a five star rating.

Great Start!
Still on my search for a second shoujo series to read, Library Wars being the only current one I follow. The publisher's blurb intrigued me here: art theft, demons hiding in paintings and a second Thief who comes along to compete with Jeanne. Once I started reading though, I found this description hardly did the book justice. Maron is the reincarnation of Jeanne d'Arc and has been given an angel who guides her in the God-given duty to replace paintings in which demons have been hidden to wreak havoc on those who own them. This is a great story involving the art world, some paranormal, a pseudo-Christianity theme along with crime and burglary. Then along comes a handsomely good looking classmate who ends up being another Phantom Thief only he wants to get the same paintings before Maron does. Thief Sinbad knows Thief Jeanne's real identity and they soon have a mutual romantic interest. While it appears Sinbad is the bad guy, I feel things may not be what they seem at this point. I loved the story with so many topics and themes, the romance was very light (just how I like it), with character and plot being more important. I already like the main characters and found the illustration to be very pretty. I'm hoping the next volume carries on in the same manner as this is an intriguing opening and is the most promising shoujo I've read in ages!

La obra más conocida de Arina Tanemura
En está nueva edición de parte de VIZ cada volumen es más grande que la edición anterior de CMX, los volúmenes pasan de siete a cinco, con nuevos diseños de portada y hojas a color.

Beautiful
I haven't read the manga but I've seen the anime when I was younger. I remember being obsessed with it and Ultra Maniac. The art is so beautiful and the story is heartwarming and fun
