As a Certified Arborist and professional Tree Service owner I can say this small pole pruner is one of the most effective, best made and best designed pruning tools that I have ever purchased ......... made of quality material .....totally adjustable and effective for both pruning and harvesting fruit and seed pods ...... The diameter of cuts that recommend is about 1/4" on Hardwoods but on soft plants like Plumeria or Bird of Paradise I can easily cut 3/4" pieces ......Also you must re-adjust or rotate the pole to engage the cutting blades when you lengthen or shorten the reach of this fine tool ..........Again as a professional I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the "GARTOL Pruner" and I would recommend this tool to both professional Arborists like myself as well as beginners learning to prune.......from J.S. Great buy! Easy to use, light in weight, cuts well, holds the cutting for you, good value

It worked for what I need. tree pruning for lemon branches and can cut 1" thick diam. But you must have good grip - you will get tired of course if cutting 1" diam branches. for thin branches - no problem. Perfect for picking fruits too, it holds it up and not dropped on ground if you want to. I am looking to buy longer one and looking for same exact one but can cut thicker than 1"

The handle mechanism came apart. Once the main screw popped out, the spring came out. I could not fit it back in, and it looks like there is any way to disassemble the handle to put it back in. I've had it only two years and used it only when needed, which wasn't often.

This is an awesome tool. Made short work of the overgrown blackberry bushes and other overgrowth without getting prickled to death.

This worked great for a time. Then the brad connecting the cutting handle to the clippers on the other end broke. I contacted the company in China about getting a part to fix it. They asked for multiple documents and photos and then said it would be too hard to fix and too costly to ship for repair so I needed to buy a new one. I decided to try to fix it anyway which I was able to do in about 10 minutes. So, if you’re handy, it is a great item but beware, it breaks easily.

I bought the pruner for cutting weeping willow blanches that are higher than the hedge trimmer can cut, they hang straight down so they are hard to cut with regular pruners, the pruners work well but they don’t cut any branches thicker than a pencil, the price is a little high for what you get they are light weight feel a little flimsy, I trimmed my tree with no issues but with time I guess I’ll see how well they hold up.

c’est très pratique cet sécateur extensible surtout quand on peut contrôler les branches coupées sur le bout de sécateur, ça tient parfaitement bien les petits à grosses branche une fois coupé. Assez léger et très solide pour un bon 30 minutes de travail mais, il ne coupe pas les grosses branches. J’ai fait très attention et lâché la coupe dès que le sécateur a refusé de couper si non ciseaux va briser car c’est quand même un petit sécateur semi professionnelle Brefs , c’est un bon outil pratique et essentiel à l’avoir pour les travaux de jardinages
