very good result, easy to work with the material

not strong enough to hold its weight
The bonding strength will fool you, they will stick to one-another with super strength. Your though is wow great, NO they had difficulity sticking to horizontal surfaces and ceiling surfaces. I added industrial double sided tape and still had issues, and would not bond. Also the butyl would smell, not what I recommend.

My new favorite sound deadening pad
I’ve just found out about this product. I’ve been sound deadening autos for 20 years…. This is perfect for dampening sheet metal and absorbing the sounds in a wet environment in one east step!
