There is no text.
Bought it thinking it would be like the version I had as a child, but there is no text, no written explanations, just maps. The maps are good, as I remembered, but with out any descriptions of events it's pretty opaque for a child. Would not recommend it and will be buying a different historical atlas.

Perfect for adults, too.
We've ordered these year after year and keep them near the tv so we can look places up around the world when they appear in the news. I wish they had a new version of it. Ours is fall apart from USE. The book is great and made well. We're just tough on shared books.

A world of information ;)
Super interesting and great to help our lessons in history. Makes it easy to see why which European explorers ended up in which parts of the Americas, for instance, by showing the curvature of the earth. A great resource!
