Works as an expansion to main game, but can also be played standalone.
Bought to give to my Star Wars obsessed son at a later date, this expansion to the main Star Wars Villainous game can be played standalone or combined with the original. It adds three new characters which each have their own mission goals and card sets. Me and my son have had great times together playing the regular Star Wars villainous, although my son does tend to to hog a certain separatist general somewhat. It takes a bit of time to digest the rules and specific goals for each character, but it’s not too hard and my 11yr old son picked it up quite quickly (well, faster than me at least). I recommend watching one of the many tutorials on YouTube if you are just starting out with the game and find yourself struggling to pick it up. Overall, the villainous games are fun and have just the right level of complexity for older children and adults. If you are a Star Wars nerd or come from a Star Wars loving family, you should enjoy it! Whilst an expansion of the main game, you can play this on its own, so it could be used as a cheaper taster if you aren’t sure that you want to buy the main game (which has five characters in total). I happened to pick up this during a sale at a bargain price, so it was an easy purchase, especially given how my son has taken to the main game.

DONT BUY- one the of the characters is unplayable
We brought this game as our friend has the main pack. Much to our disappointment we found 7th sister completely unplayable! My son was very quick to learn if he didn’t give me any fate cards I couldn’t progress in the game. There are three cards in the whole deck that might have helped me but without luck you’re stuck. There is only one discard card space making the game even slower. Needless to say the game got boring and we packed it in. Really sad to see such a design floor Go for a different pack if your playing with teens and don’t waste your money! It would be perfect for adults who want an impossible challenge.

Great fun game
Really fun game! bought all these expansions. 2 to many players. We have found you can play with Disney Villainous as well.
