Just as you see it. Always good Japanese quality.
Good price. Hario V60 is my "go to" hand pour over filter. Always good Japanese quality.

Does the job no flavour transfer

Good but have had better
Where the paper is sealed / stamped is too far along into the cone, and makes too large a fold. This creates an air channel which is a pain. You can spend a little extra time to really squeeze down the fold and flatten it mostly. Never had this problem with other filters even from the same buyer.

Good value arrived immediately
though Wish they did the unbleached papers in a pack of 3 like these (as prefer them)

The best coffee filters
These are definitely the best filter. Even for a single cup. The two cup size makes a single cup in half the time of a single cup size. Plus the way they are processed, the filters don’t need rinsing because they don’t use nasty chemicals.

Reliable Hario filters for the pour-over purist
If you're a coffee purist, grinding only the best and freshest beans, then you're probably used to Hario's groundbreaking set of products. Sure, there are lots of imitators now, but if you want a perfect cup every time, Hario will always get you there. These are the white paper filters, and they fit the Hario drip perfectly. There is also a Hario ceramic holder that holds them neatly if you're into matching. As for the the filter performance, they don't let through any grinds and the coffee moves briskly through it. I would call this a "fast" filter: if you want a slower filter, the un-dyed ones are much slower. They don't add any taste to the coffee and even if you just let water through it, you never get that papery taste that other filters sometimes add. It's a fairly thin paper so it is good for premium coffees where you don't want to lose anything. Thicker filters can take out some bitterness, but also filter out some of the precious oils and flavour compounds. These ones really let the coffee shine.

Best of the lot.
Considering availability and price, these filters seem to me the best compromise between neutral taste, availability and price. While not Japanese Hario filters from their original factory (in cardboard packing, neutral taste), they are original Japanese Hario filters from their second factory (in cellophane pouch ,with for all practical purposes same paper quality and same neutral taste) and are rated higher than the Dutch manufactured Hario filters (shrunk-wrapped, thicker paper, not quite as neutral taste). Some may prefer unbleached, brown filters, but for me these reasonably priced bleached, white filters in cellophane wrapping are the way to go. They are so taste neutral that some might even dispense with rinsing them before use, which in case of brown or shrunk-wrapped white Dutch Hario filters I consider it essential. As I said, the white cellophane Japanese Hario filters seem to me the way to go. B.
