I have just received their MagniPros 3X Large Ultra Bright LED Page Magnifier an I am delighted with it. It is well made, easy and light to use with thoughtful features such as variable light control that ranges from gentle lighting to really bright. It is a good size for the pages of most of my books and makes reading easy. The batteries are not included and the battery compartment is a bit of a 'snug' fit so be sure to follow the instructions on how best to put them in and make sure they are the right way because getting them out is a challenge. This magnifier has been particularly helpful to me because during the Corvid lock down my eye sight has altered and my prescription glasses no longer work for me. I was really struggling to be able to read at all and for me this is a vital pass time especially while staying home during this challenging time. This magnifier has enabled me to read easily again and I intend to continue to use it for reading even when I can get new prescription glasses again because the larger print will still be helpful and kind to my eyes. Included is a small hand bag sized magnifier which is great for checking labels etc which seem to be often in small print. I am certainly happy to recommend this product its great

This is a handy magnifier if you have difficulty in reading small print in books, magazines or newspapers. It is very lightweight, a good size, easy to use and provides a decent level of magnification. In low light situations, the adjustable LED lights are also very useful. The lens is plastic and of the Fresnel design. One disadvantage of this design is that if you have strong lighting behind you, it can cause reflections off the top surface of the lens but changing position or using the inbuilt lighting can minimise this. My only concern is that being made of plastic, the lens might be vulnerable to being scratched and it it would have been nice if a protective case had been provided. Overall I am very happy with this product.

Not too heavy, purchased for my husband, he enjoys reading at night time in bed when the lights aren't very strong. It can be used with or without the little lights on. It's very easy to clean, and a pleasure to use, as it's not too heavy. The magnipro, magnifies X3 and it's easy to move to the exact angle you require for reading. It comes in a lovely soft cloth bag, and it can be stored in it when not in use. The magnipro can be taken away on holiday, or a day out. If you go out for a coffee/meal it can be used to read the menu. The size is good, and it can be carried in a bag. All in all a very useful tool for reading if the light isn't very strong, or the print size is very small. Many items these days one finds the font size is very small. Would fully recommend it, as a useful tool to aid with reading. Whatever it may be!

Good idea, but no good for reading paperback novels. I thought this would work for me as the print in paperbacks is very small, but it didn't. The printed page was rather distorted and the built is lighting was not very bright, even when turned up to full. I was also rather suprised that the batteries were not included, especially as the price was rather high for an all plastic product. I am a very disapointed customer and will not purchase from this suplier again. Sorry Amazon.

This magnifier is really, really lightweight, and is easy to hold and use while operating. I primarily use it to read text on a screen, so I haven’t used the LEDs much; but I have loaded up some batteries and they are every bit as bright as you’d need them to be. When used for reading, the magnification is sharp to about 3-4 inches above the media, which is as stated I think. It’s comfortably large, enough for me to read my entire phone screen without having to move the magnifier around. Only thing I think could be improved is to make the light control wheel thicker or easier to get a purchase on. I have fairly weak fingers due to nerve issues in my hands, so I did struggle a tiny bit getting there wheel to turn past the on/off notch. Came with a lens cleaning cloth, which I don’t really intend on using; I’ll simply use screen cleaning liquid with a microfibre cloth and it should be fine. Seems like the type of cloth you would get with a pair of glasses - straightforward and should get the job done. All in all a slightly pricey magnifier, but you definitely get what you pay for. Would recommend.

I have severe visual imparement and this help me to read and is very useful as you can use ithands free for reading or doing craft work or crosswords, or you can slide out the magnifyer anbd hold it for closer work. also a good size

My sight is rapidly deteriorating because of AMD and the magnifying glass I was using, though of good quality, didn’t cover enough of the page of a book/magazine to cope with the speed of my reading. This is a really good size, is well-illuminated and extremely light, so very easy to hold in either hand. Because it isn’t necessary to move it about, it also keeps its focus well. My only reservation is that the screen is plastic, rather than glass (obviously, glass would make it very heavy) and I think there is a slight loss of definition as a result. It IS slight and, overall, I am very pleased with the product.

This magnifier is literally live saver for students with tired eyes. I am a mother and I study mostly evening, so without this helper I would not see anything. However the stand would be really good. Like this I feel I don’t have enough hands to move pages and same time hold the magnifier and do the notes. After they make version with stand it gonna be master piece.

After putting in the batteries, I took a moment to realize where the switch was: it's the same as the dimmer wheel ... turn until it clicks off... Surprisingly distortion free across the field of view. I've grown up expecting Fresnel lenses to be OK in the middle of the field, but drops off legibility away from it. This is fairly flat all the way to the edge. It's very lightweight, which is what you need when holding it for any length of time, hence it's plastic. But looks smart. Very effective. The lights are variable, but not vital unless in poorly lit up area. So you can save on batteries for using them only when necessary. Being LED's I expect a very long life out of the batteries. All in all, a very good purchase. Well worth the money. Just a quick postscript: It is distortion free if held at the recommended distance, go further out and the image distorts. Keep it at 2"-4" (5-10cms max)

An excellent magnifier. I have a senior friend who with her diminishing eyesight has trouble seeing the small letters and numbers on her condo's HVAC thermostat. She was always struggling with a magnifying glass in one hand and a flashlight in the other leaving her lacking a hand to make the thermostat adjustments. Sometimes she'd get so frustrated she'd get a neighbor to come in and make the adjustments for her. Since we couldn't find a thermostat on the market with numbers and letters large enough for her to see easily i did a bit of thinking outside of the box so to say. When I saw this magnifier on Amazon I knew this was the solution. I mounted the magnifier on the wall with Velcro on both legs of the included stand. Now the when not in use the magnifier folds up out of the way close to the thermostat's face. When needed, all she has to do is pull it down over the thermostat, switch on the built-in LED lights, angle the magnifier until the numbers are in focus and large enough to see whereupon she can effortlessly make her necessary temperature adjustments and then fold the unit back up against the wall when finished with it. It works like a charm. She's going to buy another one to use for reading magazines and books as well.

I will try to make this review easier to read by summarizing my likes and dislikes (more appropriately called "room for improvement" because they are not deal breakers for me). Likes: 1) The magnifier does not distort the text you are reading. This makes reading a pleasant experience. 2) The larger reading area helps improve my reading experience. 3) The LED lights work great at the highest setting (but I have more comments on this below). 4) The magnifier is very light even when using it with three batteries. 5) This came with a free lens cleaning cloth. I also got a free ruler/magnifier, which is very useful when you are on the go (e.g. reading food labels while in a supermarket). 6) The magnifier can also be used without turning on the LED light if you have enough lighting in your reading area. Dislikes ("room for improvement"): 1) I wish that the handle is a little larger. I also prefer to have a handle on both sides to give people the option to hold the magnifier with two hands for better balance. 2) I mentioned above the the LED lights work great at the highest setting. However, the lighting is not bright enough for reading when you are using the "in between" settings. Before buying this magnifier, I got the impression that the lighting can be used in 2 to 3 brightness settings but that was not what I experienced. 3) I wish that the magnifier came with a cloth bag for storage (or give us an option to buy a carrying case). My concern is that the lens can easily get scratched if you leave it lying around when not using it. Overall, I give this magnifier 4.5 stars based on my comments above. I will round it up to 5 stars for purposes of this review because I am happy with the magnifier overall. I strongly recommend it for people who have a hard time reading smaller texts.
