I have been using these every single day for months!
I bought these battery packs for my vacation to NYC, and I've been using them almost every day for over six months now. Why I love them: -Small, lightweight, and easily portable. -Perfect for emergencies. -More convenient than carrying a large power bank and cable. -Adaptable to most electronic devices. -Each pack holds enough charge to get by in a pinch. My only gripe is that they don't fully charge all devices, but I don't think that's their primary purpose. They charge my iPhone 14 Pro about halfway, which is plenty when I'm on the go. For a full charge, I bring two of them because they're so portable. These packs are extremely handy. I keep them in my bags, my car's glovebox, and use them on trips or when I don’t want to be tethered to a cable. I recommend buying several and keeping them charged. They're perfect for nights out, and I no longer worry about cables. When a friend needs a charger, I just hand them one of these. You won't realize how much you dislike charging your devices with a cable until you try these battery packs. They free you from being stuck next to a charging dock, allowing you to stay on the move while your devices charge. Update 2025: I am still using these battery packs over a year later and they are still going strong and charge my devices seamlessly. An incredible value for $20.

Charging speed and battery life
I’ve been using this portable charger for a little while now, and it has become something I always keep with me. It’s lightweight, compact, and fits easily in my bag without taking up much space. The charging speed is impressive — it boosts my phone quickly, even when I’m on the go. The battery capacity is also solid. I can get multiple charges out of it before needing to plug it back in, which is great for long days or travel. The display/indicator makes it easy to see how much power is left. Overall, it’s a reliable and convenient charger that does exactly what you need it to. Definitely worth the purchase if you want something dependable for everyday use or trips.

Pocket-sized battery, great to keep in a pocket or bag for emergencies
I see a bunch of one-star reviews, mostly from people who seem confused about battery capacity, energy, power, voltage, current, etc. People complain that this little pocket-size battery won’t fully charge their iPad. That’s like buying a little one-gallon gasoline can for emergencies, and then complaining that it when you poured it into your truck’s empty gasoline tank it didn’t fill the tank all the way to the top. The cell inside the Anker Nano Power Bank is advertised as having a capacity of 5000 mAh. That means the cell can (for example) supply 5 A for one hour, or 2.5 A for two hours, or 1 A for five hours. Battery engineers like talking about mAh because it is useful for their circuit designs, but for the rest of us it’s not very useful, because knowing the energy in 5000 mAh depends on knowing what voltage we are talking about. For end users, it is more useful to compare batteries based on the energy they store rather than the amount of current they use to deliver that energy. So that means talking about watt-hours (Wh) instead of mAh. For this battery the cell voltage is about 3.6 V, so 5000 mAh gives you 18 Wh. But phones aren’t designed to take power at 3.6 V. Phones require 5 V (or higher). Voltage conversion circuitry is not perfectly efficient. The text on the battery itself claims, “2600 mAh @ 5V x 2.4 A,” which means it can deliver 2.6 x 5 = 13 Wh of energy. This means that the voltage conversion circuitry inside the Anker Nano is about 72% efficient, so the 18 Wh at 3.6 V becomes 13 Wh at 5V (28% of the energy is wasted as heat). In practice, measuring a couple of Anker Nano Power Banks using a USB energy meter, I found they actually deliver 12 Wh (2.4 A @ 5V for one hour). 12 Wh is close to the 13 Wh that Anker claims, but not quite. My iPhone 15 Pro Max has a battery capacity of 17.32 Wh. Charging a battery is also not perfectly efficient — charging makes your phone get warm, and that heat is more wasted energy. If we assume that battery charging is also 72% efficient, then the 12 Wh from the Anker Nano becomes 8.64 Wh in the phone battery, or about half of the my iPhone 15 Pro Max battery capacity. In my experience the Anker Nano does indeed charge my phone from empty to around 50%. Because the Anker Nano supports USB C voltage negotiation, phones that support higher voltages can request up to 10V, allowing the Anker Nano supply up to 22 W for faster charging than a normal USB 5 V supply. The Anker Nano Power Bank is great for unplanned situations where you unexpectedly find your phone battery is drained. The Anker Nano is a small battery that easily fits in a pocket or a bag, and you don’t need to remember to carry a cable with it, because the built-in USB C plug connects directly to the device being charged. If you prefer to use a cable, it also has a USB C socket for that. Last year at the end of a day of skiing I found myself trapped for two hours in a broken-down gondola with four other people. All of their phone batteries were drained, and they were concerned about how they could tell their friends where they were. I pulled the little Anker Nano out of my pocket and passed it around. Within a few minutes everyone had charged their phone 10-15%, enough to call their friends and let them know what was happening.

A good power in a pinch charger from Anker!
A good portable charger solution, the quality I've come to expect from Anker charging products over the past few years which is solid. USB C connection will fit snug right into your phone, but if you have a really thick case on your phone this may cause some tension. Downside is the battery does work, and seems to be able to quick charged, but if your phone is running near E don't expect to get more than 1 full charge + out of this charger, meaning maybe a solid 1 and half charges before you have to recharge itself, but the bonus is the portability which allows you to charge your phone or tablet easily while still streaming or not having it plugged in a nearby outlet. Build quality: Seems solid, USB C port is a foldout to charge, but seems well made, may weaken over time or extended use. Also has a USB in/out port on the side for charger the device or plugging it into your phone or tablet that way (which kinda defeats the portable factor, but is a good backup method if the foldout port stops working). Weight: Doesn't weigh that much, but will add some weight to your phone if you are carrying it handheld, if you have your device mounted on let's a tablet or phone stand should be not be issue at all. Portable capacity: Charging capacity is the only reason for a deduction in a star, it is good but not great, good to use in a pinch, or if you are streaming a movie or show and don't have a nearby outlet for some reason, or maybe possibly to do extended recording if you don't use your phone USB port for something else like storage/mic/etc.

Great portable charger, but theres more you should know... ()
I have had a phenomenal time using this power bank, specifically using its pass through feature to charge my earbuds as well as the power bank on a single type c cable. 5000mah is enough to get a iPhone 15 Pro MAX from 0 to 100% battery. I have used it while having my phone tucked away in my pocket, it can get a tad warm, but mind the side of the hinge, especially if you are at the gym or at work and do a lot of bending. You don't want to risk damaging the folding hinge. My biggest pain point with using this portable charger is in with the spacing of the hinge relative to the rest of the body. The USB-C connector on the body stick out from the rounded body of the charger, making it prone to damaging things perhaps in a purse, and presents an unnecessary risk to the connector. There is also the issue of using the device on a flat surface. Its no ones fault when phones and their cases come in all shapes and sizes, and is something i never considered until using a power bank with a built-in usb. When in use, you may find that the device does not sit flush on either side of the hinge. Or when you prop your phone on its side using a stand to watch a video, the bank may be too large, giving you an unwanted tilt, or in worse cases is thinner than your device and hangs freely placing stress on the charging port of your device and the connector of the bank. I started to bring in dish cloth and folding it up to prop my phone while charging. Even a small amount of height and padding does wonders to alleviate all my issues with charging on a flat surface. All in all, having this power bank has made me keenly more aware of product designs and how they would interact with my own devices. I routinely use this everyday for work using the built in port. Going 4 months of almost daily use and have had no issues with the device. 11/10 for being one of the only portable charges of this profile with a hinge, massive props to the anker product development team.

Great little portable phone charger
Great little pocket phone charger for traveling or if I'm not near an outlet. Gives my phone one additional charge when I'm out and about. Pretty small and light too for what it is, you could easliy fit a couple of these in a backpack for road trips.

Very good phone charger, but stand-by power is limited on newer model
This Anker Nano Power Bank has been excellent for fast-charging my smartphone, much faster than any of my other phone chargers, and of course, very handy since a cable is not needed. My only disappointment has been with an "off-label" function that has changed. I bought my first Anker Power Bank in December 2023 after reading a review that its functionality included a 25-30 minute stand-by period, much longer than cheaper power banks that usually had a 30-second stand-by period. In other words, if the power bank was being used to power something intermittently - like a card shuffler being used every 10-15 minutes - it would remain active and the On button would not need to be pressed each time before use. Unfortunately, I lost my first power bank on vacation and purchased a replacement in June 2025. The replacement was still an excellent phone charger, but it had lost the ability to remain on stand-by for 25+ minutes, and only offered a brief stand-by period of 20-30 seconds, the same as the cheaper power banks. I contacted Anker and they said that there was probably a firmware or hardware change that had been made between December 2023 and June 2025, in the interest of minimizing even any tiny extra drain during stand-by. So ... still a great phone charger, but without the extra functionality that was useful for certain other USB-C powered things.

Small PowerBank, very handy.
Very handy for charging on the go. Fast

Good quality
I got both the white and black versions—definitely recommend the black because the white gets dirty really fast. The power bank itself is great: small, charges my iPhone quickly up to 90% or more, and easy to carry in a pocket or bag. Good quality.

Coming apart
Charges great, but after 2months the pack is starting g to come apart. Not sure if it's cells expanding or bad casing. Either way it has to be thrown out for safety.
