Lamplight Farms is a company whose products i have used for many Years. When filled correctly, its completely safe for its intended use as an Temporary light source. The type/kind of fuel you put into the lamp/lantern is important. Using K-1 or 1-K as its sometimes called Kerosene (NOT Paraffin) Oil is recommended. Ultra Pure lamp oil is fine for this product and Safe, just don't overfill it or else it WILL leak. The term 'Paraffin Oil' is used ubiquitiously all over the world and is the same thing unless it has a lot of wax in it from low quality makers. I use Medallion brand as its recommended by Lamplight Farms for thier lamps. This specific style is called a 'Cold Blast' Lantern and can stay lit in very high winds so the research states.
