Pink Floyd announced the upcoming stand-alone release of the newly remastered ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’ on CD, LP and Blu-ray. These versions will be released on October 13th. First released as part of ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’ 50th Anniversary Box Set, this is the first time that the new mix of the classic album will be available on its own in physical formats. The Vinyl is a 1LP 180G Gatefold comes with original posters & stickers. Review: Excellent - Digitally enhanced, yes, but still has the same unique sound as the original only even clearer. One of the best, if not THE best albums ever and made better with a remix. If you love PF you will love this. It doesn't say it but this album MUST be played at maximum volume. Review: wow - Listening to Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" on vinyl is an extraordinary auditory experience. The sound quality is absolutely fantastic, capturing the intricate details and sonic brilliance of each track. From the opening heartbeat of "Speak to Me" to the soulful saxophone in "Us and Them," the clarity and depth of the music are unmatched. The analog warmth of the vinyl truly brings the album to life, making every note resonate with emotion. The album cover and artwork are simply amazing. The iconic prism design, created by Hipgnosis and George Hardie, is as striking today as it was when first released in 1973. The minimalist yet powerful imagery perfectly encapsulates the album's themes and is instantly recognizable. Holding the LP in your hands, you can appreciate the fine details and thoughtfulness that went into its design. Overall, "Dark Side of the Moon" on vinyl is a must-have for any music lover. It’s a timeless masterpiece that not only sounds incredible but also boasts some of the most memorable and stunning artwork in music history. Whether you’re a longtime fan or a newcomer, this LP offers an unparalleled listening experience that stands the test of time.

Greatest album ever just got the tiniest bit better again. But is it worth it?
Justifiable? Madness? I already possess the 30th-anniversary SHLV 804 pressing, the 1993 20th-anniversary CD, and numerous other format versions. So while I'm sick to see yet another release of what was a brilliantly recorded album originally, for me, it came down to this. Vinyl is the ONLY way to listen to Dark Side of the Moon. So, would I be happy sticking with the second-best recording of my favourite album ever, or get this? I coughed up and took the plunge. What did I find? Unlike the remix of Animals, this retains the same dynamics, I found I still listened to the same moments in the same way, but the clarity is the thing. It's like everything's been picked up, polished, and set back gleaming. Plus - and for audiophiles, this is something of a miracle - they've solved the distortion issue around 6 minutes into Us and Them which always drove me crazy. So the listening experience, like the album, has never been more harmonious or astonishing. But only... very slightly. Is it worth it, then? For anyone who already owns Dark Side on vinyl, all you're really paying for is that incremental improvement. To answer this, I will quote a certain tall motor journalist (you know who I mean) when reviewing the then-new Aston Martin DBS. He said to his mystified colleagues that it was like a DB9 where every little piece is a little bit better. He went on to conclude that you could never again choose to buy a DB9. In that instance, the price difference was £50k. Here it's less eye-watering, but the point remains. It's a lot of money for little gain. You'd have to be mad. But then I've always been mad, I know I've been mad...

Still the best
Absolutely worth buying. Drag out your old hi fi equipment, set it up perfectly and loose yourself in the sheer depth of this recording. Yes of course the huge moments (the guitar solo on Time is awesome, so many layers), but it’s the quiet moments like the intro to The Great Gig in the Sky and Us And Them is where you notice the quality of this CD. Even at low volume it sounds delightful. You may be surprised it doesn’t come in a crystal case, but when you realise it’s almost like your old beaten up original’70s vinyl sleeve, only in pristine condition, you’ll soon be happy with the money you’ve spent!

Brilliant album, BUT . . .
. . . the pressing is pretty shocking! The first copy I got I returned as it was SO bad, even after careful wet cleaning it did not improve! The replacement was better, but still not great - hopefully a few plays and some continued cleaning and it will improve a bit more.

Just off the scale brilliant
Well its Floyd init! No but seriously this is an absolute corker of a recording. Its been near on 40 years since I last put a needle on vinyl but I was looking through my old record collection, much of which is missing, and thought I would love to hear them again. I bought a Roksan Attessa in the sales and thought I would christen it with a new LP and well it just had to be Dark Side of the Moon. The quality of this recording and the sound is just phenomenal, stereo separation is superb and I was just amazed at how it sounded. My insides almost melted when the bass come in on 'Time'. Do your ears a favour and buy this

Extra

Might be 50 but looks younger!
Beautiful smooth brand new album! What better feeling was there than buying a new record! I’ve got my original 1973 edition so couldn’t resist getting a new anniversary edition. Now I’ll just have to get a record player!! Couple of stickers and two colourful big posters. Straight to the trophy room for them haha. Aussies will get the meaning of that. I love it.
