Fantastic quality, great sound, and very comfortable.
After having used these for nearly 2 years i can safely say that they're the best wireless headphones I've tried, beating out similarly priced Sony's, and a family members Bose headphones. Of course, as it comes to a product like this.. it's purely just my opinion. The app that you can download from Sennheiser is simple and easy to use, giving you the ability to mess around with the EQ or set it to some of the preset ones in the app. The best option for me is the ability to turn off touch controls completely. I'm clumsy and I'm constantly brushing against the right ear cup so that was a huge boon for me. Noise cancelling is good, and gives me less of a... pressure feeling inside the ear cups. It does take some fiddling to set it up right though. On the highest setting wind seems to get through a little bit. but setting it to roughly 3/4 lowers the wind noise while still delivering on cancelling out other noises. The last point i want to touch on is the customer support from Sennheiser. The left ear cup developed a slight ticking noise when NC was on. I filled in the short form and sent it off. I got a reply within 30 minutes giving me instructions on how to ship it to them for repair. Everything was free, and fast. They got my pair at roughly 8AM and by 5PM the same day they had sent me out a brand new pair. So overall i'm happy with the product, and happy with the company.

Sennheiser Momentum 4
The Sennheiser Momentum 4 headphones offer a premium audio experience that justifies their higher price point. The fact that you find them to be very good after extended use speaks volumes about their sound quality and overall performance. The infinitely adjustable features likely contribute to a personalized listening experience, allowing you to fine-tune the audio to your preferences. Comfort is a crucial aspect of any pair of headphones, and it's excellent to hear that the Momentum 4 provides a comfortable fit. This is particularly important for long listening sessions, making them suitable for extended use without causing discomfort or fatigue. The extended battery capacity is another positive aspect, ensuring that you can enjoy your music for an extended period without constantly worrying about recharging. This is especially beneficial for those who are often on the move or use their headphones for long periods throughout the day. While the price may be steep, the combination of exceptional audio quality, adjustable features, comfort, and long battery life make the Sennheiser Momentum 4 headphones a worthwhile investment for audio enthusiasts or individuals who prioritize a top-notch listening experience. Overall, it seems like you've found a high-quality and reliable pair of headphones that deliver on their promises.

Disappointing, buggy headphones, *if* they don't develop a fault.
I'll start with the most egregious negative first; I'm on my second pair of Momentum 4's. The original pair I sent back to Sennheiser for RMA, because they started crackling in the left earcup. Now, this pair has started crackling, also in the left ear cup. I bought my original pair for £209 on October 9th 2024. I am writing this October 21st 2025. That makes two pairs of headphones, exhibiting the same fault in just over ONE YEAR. I won't bother RMA-ing this pair, since I expect I'll just get the same issue in another 6 months. To be clear, I've used them with factory settings, apart from enabling AptX HD. They haven't been exposed to water, and I listen at about 30-40% volume. If you're still considering buying these for some reason, the pros and cons are as follows. Pros: * The sound quality is decent, though not amazing given the price. * The companion app is surprisingly functional (and doesn't require sign-in, amazing!), with a 5 band EQ, access to ANC settings, and an option to prefer AptX HD when using Bluetooth. * The battery life is decently long, I can't give an exact number, but I found I only needed to charge every 5-7 days or so, with on and off usage, and the headphones are decently comfortable. Cons: * The headphones are 100% plastic, including the earcup hinges, which creak if you dare move while wearing them. * The active noise cancellation is present, but more noise reduction than cancellation. Fortunately, you can disable wind reduction in the app, which improves the noise cancellation, but, unsurprisingly, increases wind noise. On a positive note, the transparency mode is surprisingly transparent! * The Bluetooth playback in AptX HD mode is weirdly spotty, sometimes it's rock solid, staying connected through multiple walls, and sometimes it hitches at less than a meter away. I've found that the Qualcomm Wi-Fi/Bluetooth chipset in my laptop is more reliable than the Realtek one in my ThinkPad, and most surprisingly, better even than the BTD600 dongle. * The final issue; sometimes, the controls decide they don't want to work properly. Sometimes, both the volume up and down gestures *increase* the volume. Sometimes, taking the headphones off doesn't pause the currently playing media, but putting them back on does. Sometimes, tapping the right earcup (the play/pause gesture) when connected to two devices - a selling point of these headphones - doesn't pause the currently playing content, but starts whatever was last playing *on the other device*. Even ignoring the quality (control?) issues, I probably wouldn't recommend these headphones. The build is subpar, the ANC - again, a selling point - is *far* behind the competition, and the Bluetooth is far flakier than other headphones I've tried, and that's saying something.

Excellent sound, fantastic battery life, great connectivity, well worth wrangling with the foibles!
TL:DR While they may have some idiosyncracies, they are totally worth learning to manage as the sound, battery, and general functionality is excellent I've been using these for the past 5 months and can honestly say they are one of the best pairs of headphones I've used in a VERY long time. While they might not be "perfect" in all areas, they are excellent in enough to assuage the issues. The sound quality via bluetooth is absolutely EXCELLENT, they have a -very- wide soundstage compared to a fair number of bluetooth headphones I have tried, and also have a very clean, separated sound, all the elements are clear and distinct to the point I've heard things in songs and videos that I had not before even listening through my monitor set up. I've not tried them wired, where they could be even better because the BT is so good (YMMV I spend time shaping the EQ in the app which is well worth the time) Battery life is top tier, I wear them while commuting and on breaks, and often wear them of an evening connected to my PC and seem to only have to charge them every few weeks. They also have a neat function were they pause the music when you take them off and seem to go into sleep mode until you put them back on They can be connected to multiple devices, although this is where some minor issues start to appear. I have mine connected to my phone and my pc via a bluetooth dongle - unless you don't manually put the headphones to sleep using the power button, you can sometimes have devices register a connection to the headphones, which can pause things you're listening to through speakers. They come with a sturdy headphone case that has spaces for, and includes, relevant cables e.g. USB and headphone, and the headphones fit very nicely in to it, which is useful as they do not fold in any way. They are portable with some planning.. or a thin neck I guess! The touch controls are a great idea and work really well in principle... but as alluded to I have a thick neck, and it is tremendously easy to "press play" on the earcap with my chin 😅Also the double tap for ANC doesn't register as well as it should, but the increasing/decreasing ANC motion does. There is an app that seems expected to get, but is also totally worth the download. Has its own equaliser to be configured, as well as other ANC controls, being able to configure sound zones using the ANC microphones and others beside. I got them with a fairly good discount in a sale, but would not have been disappointed if I had paid full price

OK sound, but some flaws
I've been a fan of Sennheiser for many years. Their sound usually 'works' for me. That said, while these headphones sound good enough, they don't really blow me away, no matter how much I tweak their EQ etc. The sound is fine, but it doesn't really 'breathe'. Still, they sound good enough, and their battery life is stellar. The case is good, if a bit bulky, and they are quite comfortable for me. The bluetooth connection seems stable. The software as rather flaky though. On many occasions, the touch controls just stop working, until I power on and off again. Routinely, I get an audio cue to indicate that something has happened, even though I was not using any controls, and it's not clear what it signifies. And from time to time, the ANC randomly switches into and out of transparency mode, without me asking it to. The headphones regularly instruct my phone to start playing music, again without me asking them to. The ANC itself is OK. I don't have much to compare it to, but it works well with constant noise (think train or bus engines). It's less impressive with irregular noise caused by voices etc, but I guess that's to be expected. Honestly, while these are fine, if I'm ever in the market to replace them, I doubt I will consider Sennheiser again. I just get the impression that some other brands will perform better.

Love my 1st Noise Cancel Headphones.
Bought these a good while ago now and wanted to really test them out before reviewing. They are my 1st noise cancelling headphones and I am delighted that after massive research I chose these. They are really comfortable, a good fit, have great sound and do the noise cancelling very well. The right side ear touch controls are very handy and easy to use and I love that the music automatically stops and restarts when you remove and replace the headphones. The app is simple to use also and has settings you can personalise. Happy to now recommend.

Excellent sound profile and build quality, but occasionally disconnects from Bluetooth
I spent some time considering the Sennheiser Momentum 4 and the Sony WH-XM4. Both excel as over-the-ear, sound-cancelling headphones. I eventually opted for the Momentum 4, and I have to say the quality and richness of the sound surprised me. Sony is well known for heavy bass, but Sennheiser takes the same punchy bass but delivers it with precision. It's impressive. The build quality feels robust. The ear pads can also be replaced should the leatherette deteriorate. The headphones are easily adjusted. I feel I have quite a large head, and each cup can easily be extended. I do find the clamping force a bit stronger on the Momentum 4 compared to my Sony WH-XM3, but it is light enough for extended use. The case included with the headphones is equally sturdy and likely to offer good protection. I find it slim, but slightly bulky, yet still slides into my bag without much fuss. It does include the necessary cables if you do not plan to use wirelessly. Admittedly, the 2.5mm jack on the headset took me by surprise. I am more familiar with 3.5mm, but, longer cables are easy to find and inexpensive. The battery life is second to none. I rarely have to charge the headphones. The touch controls are also intuitive, especially if you have used similar inputs. I really enjoy the transparency mode, which is one-touch activated. On previous Sony's I've owned you had to hold your hand awkwardly over one cup to activate. There are a few niggles to overcome. I've had more than a few instances where I've turned the headset on and it's not automatically paired with my iPhone. I have to manually head to the Bluetooth settings and reconnect. A slight annoyance if nothing else, and thankfully it hasn't dropped the connection while I'm listening to music. The noise cancelling is still great, but, struggles in wind, which can be picked up by the microphones. The microphone quality during calls is acceptable (7/10). Still, for the price I paid, they should provide years of crystal clear, punchy music and I am happy to recommend.

Comfortable, great audio quality, poor software.
Like everyone else is saying, connectivity is bad. The rampant stuttering and freezing is terrible, they cut out and when on call it can be frustrating. The audio quality is good and customisable to your liking, the nicest sounding headphones I've ever used in fact. They are quite light on the head thanks to their headband being cushioned and feels silicone which makes it not retain oder which is of course good. The plastic is strong and resistant to scratches and cracking 6+ months in. The touch controls sometimes get frustrating but can be easily turned off from the app if you plan to rest that side of your head on your shoulder. The other complaints I have only stem from the ear-cup leather or pleather feeling thin and fragile however not broken. The only way to clean these headphones would be to go further than removing the ear cups as some of the foam on the inside is actually glued to the driver housing which means if you have sweaty ears and want to properly clean the porous padding it will likely cost you your warranty if you have any. They are far more glasses friendly than any other pair of expensive headphones avaliable right now, the ear-cuffs are extremely plush and it remains a good seal and still pin-drop silent outside with no leaking sound. (impressive) My firmware is updated to 2.13.28 which is the latest as of writing this, will update the review if any new firmware versions patch these issues or if Sennheiser reaches out to help me with these connection issues. I'd recommend looking at some second-hand sony headphones for a similar price and better firmware/software integration with a wider range of products, if these seemingly software-side problems were ironed out these would be a serious contender especially because I am a personal fan of the sound profiles and quality of this company's wired headphones. Steer clear for now, not worth your money. I kind of love their aesthetic over the WH1000XM5 from sony which makes me saddened they spend more time sitting around my shoulders than on my head.

Simplemente espectaculares

Unbeatable
Been down a rabbit hole and researching for about a month before deciding on the Sennheiser Momentum. Went to some local stores to try out all of the popular headphones but went in with a certain list of priorities (in order); 1) Sound Quality 2) Comfort 3) Portability 4) Noise Cancelling 5) Battery life Contenders on the list were: - Bose QC ultra: Amazing ANC, great portability, decent sound quality but a bit on the dull side. - Sony XM4 & XM5: Bassy but flat and muffled sound, great ANC and portability. Avoid the XM5 at all costs though, the hinges are a major design flaw. - Sennheiser Momentum 4: Blows everything else out of the water in terms of sound quality, same for the battery life. Not quite as portable as the QC ultra's and XM4s but comes with a great case nontheless. - B&W PX7: Didn't get a chance to try these out. Pro's; If you prioritise sound quality over anything else then it's an easy choice, nothing comes close to it in this price range. Track separation, bass, clear vocals... it's all there and it's an immersive listening experience. The ANC might not be as good as Bose or Sony but it's certainly nowhere near bad ANC performance. I recently brought these on multiple flights and trains with me and have 0 complaints. After having used Airpods Pro's for about 2 years I can confidently say that the transparency mode on the Momentums is pretty comparable too, which is a great thing. The controls (despite being touch) work surprisingly well but keep in mind that fingerprints are pretty visible on the black versions. As for the case it comes with, it looks a lot larger on the product page than it actually is in person. It's also very sturdy and packs some smart features which have worked flawlessly so far. When it comes to battery life... well it's probably the best on the market right now and almost feels like a challenge to drain it. If you don’t need the absolute best ANC on the market and want something that just objectively sounds better than any other consumer headphone in the €300 range, then the Momentums are a clear winner.
