How do we adhere stone to surface?

I used a two part epoxy which is sold at any hardware store, Ace, Lowe's, Home Depot and likely Wal-Mart. There are two liquids side by side in their own chambers. When you remove caps and push plunger, supposedly equal amounts of liquid epoxy A and B come out. You stir them together with nail or toothpick for couple minutes. Then apply back of stone portrait and adhere to your clean base location. After it dries, I ran a very thin bead of Clear caulk around edges to seal water out from getting underneath Did it.on TWO of these and got nice solid bond. Crazy glue, gorilla glue and liquid nails chaulk unlikely to hold.
