Coleman Tents PEAK1

I used this for my glamping set up. It fits a queen size mattress with room to walk around it. Love the nice big door and window. The material seems to be high quality and durable.

I had to cut my fishing trip short. It had a ton of room for me and my gear. Overall the tent is easily set up and the rainfly seemed to be of good quality and did not leak during an all night rain. The vestibule could be a bit larger for storage. However, when I woke in the morning I found the floor leaked on that first night of rain. Luckily it was under my air mattress and a waterproof pack. Thankfully nothing vital got wet. Also I wish the rainfly in the back went down all the way as the sides do. Also having a bit more material on the front door, higher up instead of so much screen would be nice. Too much ventilation for a cool to cold weather tent. It was a little difficult to keep the tent warm when it was windy and raining, even with my heater going. Also disappointed that’s it’s now too late to return it and get my money back. My dad had a Coleman tent for years before it finally wore out and needed to be replaced. Mine only lasted one night. I’m probably never going to buy another Coleman tent. The quality is not what it used to be. I do not recommend unless you know it’s not going to rain.

The Coleman PEAK1 4 person tent is adequately sized, but like any 4 person tent doesn't have tons of room. Its adequate for a couple of adults, a couple of kids and some camping gear. But there is sleeping space for 4 sleeping bags, so there is that. It has been super cold and wet here lately so we couldn't set up or test out this tent until today. Today we took some time to get it set up and ensure everything was good with the tent. Its still too cold to tent over night for us. The tent came with a ground tarp which is great to protect your tent from being laid directly onto the ground. This tent has the instructions sewn into the carry/storage bag in several different languages, so you can ensure your instructions do not get lost and that you can easily see visually how to set the tent up and take it down. I really like that the parts are color coded, so you can see which poles go with which parts of the tent. The tent poles also clip into place instead of having to slide completely through pole sleeves on the tent, this is convenient and definitely cuts time down on tent set up and makes it much easier to do. This tent can be used screened without the cover, but the cover is great to ensure privacy or cover from rain or weather. I like that it has vents with little poles to hold them open as well as window and door that can be rolled up to ensure good air flow while still keeping the flies out. I was pleased that all of the parts including the tent could easily be put back into the carry bag for storage. Over all this is a good quality tent and we will all be going camping this summer as a family with a few tents, so this one will get some use. Great features, and very easy to set up.

This is not a great tent.. the stakes were flimsy, managed to break the head off two of the stakes the first time I installed the tent.. there’s an additional tarp that comes with the tent that I think is for the tent to sit on, I’m still not sure as the instructions that are sewn into the bag (cool feature) make no reference of this tarp. I didn’t end up using it, but when it rained water seeped into the corners of the tent. There’s no way you’re fitting 3 grown adults into this tent, but I knew that before buying it. Also, it’s light, but I would say not light enough for back packing.. overall I’m disappointed. I loved my previous Coleman tents, but this might have turned me off the brand.

The Coleman PEAK1 Four- and Two-Person Tent set arrived quickly and discreetly, with both tents packed neatly in their own bags. Everything was organized well — poles and stakes each had their own little storage bags, which I appreciated. Setup was easy, especially after doing it once. I’d recommend reading the instructions first, though — it’ll save you some time and avoid the need to redo things. The aluminum poles are solid and lightweight, but the stakes are a big downside. Two of mine broke on first use — the heads snapped clean off from a light tap with a rubber mallet. Definitely bring extras. Luckily, I had some spare stakes on hand. Once set up, the tents looked great. I loved the color-coded corners and clip-on pole design — way easier and quicker than dealing with sleeves. Both tents feel sturdy, and although I haven’t had them in heavy rain yet, the materials seem reliable. We only had a bit of light drizzle during our trip, but nothing got wet inside. The elevated side walls give me confidence they’d hold up even in pooling water. A really cool feature is the “window” panel on one side of each tent — you can open both the mesh and the rainfly to watch the stars. Great for falling asleep under clear skies. The four-person tent is roomy — easily fits four adults and even a dog. The vestibule is generous too, great for keeping gear dry. The two-person tent is more compact, especially inside. There’s just enough room for two tall adults to sleep, but not much leftover for gear — thankfully, it has vestibules on both sides thanks to the dual exits. That also means no crawling over each other to get out, which is a bonus. Taking down and packing the tents was just as easy. If you keep everything in its proper bag, these tents are a breeze to manage. Overall, we used them for four nights on the beach on the North Pacific West Coast, and they held up beautifully. Great value, smart design, but definitely bring better stakes!
