Fantastic screen and performance
I spent months researching monitors and am delighted to say I have found a fantastic one. I would easily buy another of these, especially on sale. Currently, I have this hooked up to my old gaming laptop and Nintendo Switch until I get my PC, so I will update this review to detail any improvements and how well it works with my PC when I get it.Colour:Visually, this monitor is spectacular. The out-of-the-box colour was gorgeous, and I didn't notice any colour tints. The screen is definitely on the warmer side as opposed to my laptop's screen which has a cool wash over it. However, I think that just creates a great depth of colour, as you would expect from an IPS screen. I was initially torn when I was buying monitors, as I play a lot of story/visual games and I know that VA monitors have better contrast than IPS ones. However, I think this monitor delivers despite the lower contrast ratio to VA panels. This monitor has really brought my games to life. Some games will need their settings tweaking to get the full experience before you game, however, I think this is a small price to pay for great quality. I had to manually go through to select higher graphic settings and match the screen size, but this was to be expected.Size:This 27-inch panel is the perfect display for work and gaming: It has transformed my gameplay from my switch and 16-inch laptop into something immersive and breathtaking. It fits well on my small desk, and the stand does not take up too much room.Brightness:This is something I was really concerned when choosing a monitor. I have two windows in the room I work and needed a monitor that would be bright enough to withstand the glare coming through them. Suffice to say, this monitor delivers. There is very little glare on this monitor, and even so it is hardly noticeable. What's more, I don't struggle to look at dark games/movies any more- thank god!Adjustability:This monitor is incredible in terms of adjustability. Not only can the display move up and down, but it can tilt up and down, side to side and completely rotate! I imagine this would make a great second monitor too.Performance:As mentioned earlier, I have only tested the performance on an old laptop at 120hz and my Nintendo switch, so haven't tested the full capacity of this monitor yet. However, from what I have seen, I am still very impressed. The visuals are smooth. Even in fast-paced games, I haven't suffered from any motion sickness, and have yet to experience the dreaded black smears. I will update this when I have tested it with my PC, but so far so good!Cons:These cons were not enough to put me off wanting a second monitor like this, however, I understand people might prioritise these more so here they are:No speakers: To get any sound I'd have to hook this up to a Bluetooth speaker or use the sound from my laptop. I imagine the idea is that you'd have it hooked up to a PC with speakers, however, if you are looking for a monitor with the capacity to emit its own sound, this is not it.No audio port: A little disappointing as having an audio port in the monitor would have been very convenient. No USB ports: A bit inconvenient but not the worstOverall, I think this a great monitor, and even better if you get it on sale. I think it is a great entry-level monitor that doesn't overcharge its worth. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great experience working or gaming.

Great value Dell S3422DWG 34" Ultrawide Monitor
Dell S3422DWGI've had Dell Monitors for the last 18 years so when looking for a new monitor that's the first place I looked, I watched many many reviews of the Ultrawides available and not wanting to spend £1000+ I eventually decided on this one.I was a little apprehensive about the VA panel but I really needn't have worried, it's absolutely fantastic.I'm very happy with it so far, colours were a little muted right out of the box but once setting it up as described in the Rtings review it's absolutely fantastic, download and install the Dell driver from their website set the superfast response time and enabled G-sync in the Nvidia settings which it wouldn't do without the driver and I've played RDR2, Assassin's Creed Mirage, Cyberpunk and Forza 5 with zero issues, no black smearing, no ghosting and they look absolutely amazing at 3440x1440 and smooth as butter on my 4070 Super. One thing noted in some reviews when using this particular Dell 34 UW is flickering below 60fps and I can confirm that you will get it if your frame rate goes below 60 which I managed to do (deliberately to check it) by maxing CP2077 and turning off DLSS & FG, so I'd recommend a fairly beefy system to make sure you can run AAA games above 60fps, above 60 it's silky smooth with zero flicker.I think for the price it's unbeatable value, I got it on a Black Friday deal for £327.Bear in mind I'm coming from a 10 year old Dell U2713HM AH-IPS 60hz Monitor and so far it's blown me away with colours, the deepness of the blacks and the silky smooth VRR.So far I'm super impressed, I really like the minimalist look of Dell monitors and this doesn't disappoint, the stand is good and sturdy and even though it's obviously very wide it doesn't wobble, I love the inclusion of the four USB ports, because I've always had them on the previous Dell's I've owned I really wanted that feature, the curvature is not over done so I got used to it very quickly and it really does add to the immersion in every game I've tried, RDR2 looks jaw droppingly amazing.I've done a little bit of browsing and it's been great for that too, no text ghosting I've noticed so far which can be another bug bear of VA panels. The menu is easy to use with the little joystick nub and you can set custom quick change settings to the other 4 buttons. That's about it, if I come across any problems or faults I will report back here.If you're looking for a relatively cheap way into to Ultrawide gaming I don't think you'd be disappointed with this monitor.

Decent Overall 4k Gaming Monitor
I sadly only got to use this monitor for a few days as after around about 20 hours of use there was a bright white dead pixel in the centre of the screen which was one of those things where when you have seen it you can’t un-see it.Other than that the colours on the monitor were pretty spot on with basically no tuning needed, the images popped really nice and playing with this screen on new AAA releases with the 4k resolution mixed with all the ray tracing and all quality enhancing features the games looked amazing. The overall stand and build quality was super nice it felt like a super premium monitor to the touch i can tell that sell put high quality materials into this monitor. The only 2 things i did not like about the monitor was when playing as a resolution that does not match the monitors default of 3840x2160 the screen seems to turn its self on and off randomly every few seconds, this happened the most in my motherboards bios for some reason and I have no idea why, i tried messing though some of the osd options but nothing i changed could fix it (this could have been my particular unit though).Coming from 27 inch monitors for a very long time i can say that I also was not a massive fan of the size of the screen sometimes having to physically look high up to see the radar or something for example that’s either top left or right and after playing for a few hours i could feel it in my neck but then again that’s also subjective to me and other users may not experience this.i’d say if you are looking for a pretty decent 4k monitor then this one could be the one for you as there is very little setup required in the osd and it’s nice and simple and basically plug and play.
