Replaced this thermostat gasket while doing an intake manifold swap and decided to stick with Motorcraft for peace of mind. Fit was spot on and installation went smoothly. Everything lined up perfectly with no leaks or issues. It’s a solid OEM part — you can tell the quality difference compared to some of the aftermarket stuff out there. Engine temps have been right where they should be since the install. If you’re already doing work under the hood, this is a great time to throw one of these in. Genuine part, great fit, no hassle.

Update: April 16, 2026 Been driving truck without issues. All systems running as expected. ---------------------- Installed but haven't started truck yet to test out as we haven't put the radiator in. However, looks like a good part. This is the first time we've replaced the thermostat on our 2001 Ford F150 supercrew (4.6L v8) since we bought it (used) so needed a new seal because the thermostat does NOT include one. I bought this is conjunction with the oem thermostat. I prefer to use motorcraft (or oem) in pertinent places that I don't want to have to keep replacing. I'm not against aftermarkets but in some areas, I just don't want to have to replace multiple times in short periods when the cheaper versions fail. I feel the cooling system is critical and should be using oem parts to get the best performance and longevity. Another reviewer warned against overtightening so you don't crush the o-ring so appreciate that advice as I didn't know. Thanks!

Es la junta original y específica para la bomba de agua para Ford f150 2000 5.4 con aire acondicionado, aún que tiempo después se genero una ligera fuga de anticongelante y no es la primera bomba de agua que he instalado, recomendaría agregar otra junta de papel impermeable al momento de asentar la bomba ya así crear un segundo sello para prevenir posibles fugas de anticongelante
