Great piece of kit , just read below about control panel & outdoor use advice
I bought this for my Roof Top tent,it works fantastic and I love it , great on fuel economy and very low on power usage , however as an FYI , realised it was the "house" version and therefore the control panel is on the top , so had a couple of instances in heavy rain (had this shipped to West of Ireland so heavy rain nornal lol ) and it cut out as moisture got in to control oanel (it dried out in couple of hours in heat ) this was my error in purchasing correct version, but solved it by finding a cover to sit over control panel when left outside and remote Bluetooth for still works fine. Used this alot througgt the last few months winter camping and I love it - love that you can also see the fuel level on side, easy to fill etc. The exhaust is a screw on , which I like as its definitely more of a secure fit. I bought a Carbon Monoxide alarm for safety for inside tent (please do this people as its standard practice and will save a life ) overall great quiet product without the Clicking. The hose pipe for the heat is short so I purchased a longer one to reach up to tent at around $15 - overall well made and solid , and worthwhile purchase

High quality on both the product and customer service - Update after a year- still great
The update: After a year of use I needed a small item where the insulation had come undone. We are talking about typical tape insulation. I contacted the company and they dispatched a replacement to me. There are a lot of diesel heaters on the market but the difference is customer service. How many companies do you know that help you out a year later and not try to gouge you for money? I see that this specific model isn't available but having experienced the good quality and really good customer service I wouldn't hesitate to buy another LF Bros heater even if it's a different model. Original review. First, my reviews are for products I buy for myself or family and are paid for by me. I do not nor will I accept any free products in exchange for a review and the only time I will accept a product at no cost is if it's a replacement for something I already paid for and its part of warranty or repair. About the heater. I needed a heater for emergency situations where there a power outage and regular heating isn't available. While we use a generator for electricity and our heating is natural gas, after a certain time we turn the generator off for quiet time and the blowers for the gas furnace will not work. Also, the garage gets very chilly in winter and I wanted something that works better than most portable propane heaters. I got the heater and the first thing I noticed was the build quality. While the delivery service wasn't very careful that isn't the fault of LF BROS, despite some rough handling enroute the heater appeared to be fine. It was very easy to setup, put some fuel in it, connect the exhaust and outlet hose connect the 12 VDC adapter. I wanted to insure a good 12V source for the first run although I found it works just as well using a 12 VDC battery, just make sure it has a good charge. You just press "On" and wait a short time for the glow plug to ignite the fuel and the heat starts. You can hear a slight tic tic as the fuel pump works but I'd rather know the fuel pump is working than something silent and you are left wondering so that works just fine. In operation the heater is quiet. Naturally, any time air is pushed through a hose that sound can be heard but its about the same as comes from a floor register with gas heat. In other words, no big deal and again, you know it's working. While it's possible and safe to run the heater inside so long as you vent the exhaust outside, I decided to have the heater outside and run the heater hose to the inside. Rather than cut any holes in the wall I simply used a piece of acrylic to make a spacer for one window that slides open, cut a 3" hole and used the hose vent connector to secure the hose to that. This let me bring in heated air without any worry about anything. It worked like a charm and allowed me to simply add the spacer when needed. Since the space remains connected to the heated air outlet I can also move it to the garage and using the same setup, get heat inside the garage quickly, again, without cutting any holes. I tired the various fueling levels and settled on a mid range where the heated air coming out of the vent inside the house was about 170 degrees F. The amount of heated air produced by the LF Bros is amazing. Since it's heated air and not a radiant heater letting the heated air circulate provides warm in even large spaces. A small fan running off a battery moves the heated air around so that the entire lower floor of the home get nice and warm. I could use a higher fuel setting but for my application it just wasn't needed. The LF Bros heater is very efficient and given the cost of using portable electric heaters this heater is far more practical and cost equivalent. Electricity prices are skyrocketing and so as little fuel as this heater uses its not a hit to the budget. While electric heaters are efficient they also require longer to heat up larger areas and do require 120V utility power to function. The built-in handles make transporting this heater easy. Since it has a buil-in fuel tank using the handles insures you aren't tipping it during movement. The exterior is covered completely by a shroud for good looks as well as keeping the elements out. This heater gives me peace of mind knowing that with just a 5 gallon container of fuel I can have plenty of heat for about weeks. Our most recent power outage lasted 5 days and its still on the single filling of fuel since it isn't run constantly. The way I use it the heater could probably provide adequate heat for a month on that much fuel but your results may vary depending on temperatures. The heater hasn't ever failed to start, not even once. I just press "On" and know it will work. Now about customer service because that is often just as important as the product itself. I did have a minor question regarding operation and using the message to manufactiurer feature via Amazon, I sent LF Bros the query. My message was sent in the AM my time and by evening I had an answer. How is that for quick service? My question was about a slight smell coming out of the heated air vent, it wasn't CO because I have new CO monitors throughout the house and none alerted. I seems that perhaps a seal was moved during the shipping and subsequent heavy handed delivery (again, not the fault of LF Bros). LF Bros got back to me the same day and resolved the issue immediately. While each customer service request can be different, I can say that LF Bros came though with flying colors and that gives me the confidence so many other companies these days have trouble providing. I recommend LF Bros to anyone needing a portable heater. Their products and customer service are of the highest quality, they respond quickly and take good care of their customers. i would not hesitate to purchase products from LF Bros.

Great heater!
Four star review because I believe the company expects the air intake to use indoor air of what ever your heating and the heater would then heat that air. This heater doesn’t have a dedicated air intake that you’d run outside of what ever you are heating. But this is an easy work around. The heater hose that’s included with the heater is for the heated air. It comes with a deflector or adjustable vent so you can point which way you want the heated air to go. I used that heater hose on the back where the fresh air intake is. The grill will pop off the back on the fresh air intake and it will allow you to hook up the 3in duct hose to it. Then run that outside with your exhaust and your all set. I’m sure on some structures or vans, motor homes, campers etc, it would be fine just using the I door air for intake. I’m using this in a small cabin and I didn’t want to take any chances. So I ran the intake outside for fresh air. My next issue with this heater was the muffler and exhaust. They want you to hook the muffler straight to the unit then the exhaust pipe after. This isn’t ideal nor is it like every other diesel heater that I looked at. However the exhaust pipe will not fit over the flange coming out of the heater. So you have to install the muffler first then the pipe after. That wasn’t going to work for my install so I purchased a diesel heater exhaust elbow and that fixed the issue. I was able to run the exhaust like so, elbow, pipe then muffler. The fuel pump isn’t loud at all as you see people complain about sometimes in diesel heater reviews. You can’t hear the pump once the heater is running. Has adjustable power and temp control. Also comes with a wireless remote. If you get to hot, hit the off button on the remote and the heater will go into shutdown mode. Too cold? Hit the on button and it fires right up. After the exhaust and air intake issues were worked out the heater works awesome. It’s easy to operate and it kicks out the hot air! I feel like this heater is way better quality than some of the other ones out there. The company is super responsive to any questions you have as well. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another if I needed or wanted one.

Love this thing
This is definitely more expensive than some of the others, but I think it might be worth it. It came packed better than most things I've seen, very solid and protected. The fit and finish is very good. No sharp edges, everything needed was included. It included a remote, which I'll never use. The instructions are somewhat lacking, but as long as you pay attention to the electronic control unit model, and follow the correct steps, it's not a problem It primed fine on the first fill using the recommended priming procedure one time. It started right up on first start without needed a re-prime. Very minimal white exhaust on startup, and more but still not much on shutdown. on startup there is a low kerosene type smell, but not much. I especially like the side exhaust, which I was specifically looking for. Puts out a ton of heat. I was able to get my 2-car garage into the low 60's, while it was below freezing outside. My garage is insulated, but not great. Game changer for doing maintenance or garage activities in the winter. Much safer than a bullet heater. I have CO/CO2 sensors in the garage at the appropriate locations, and no issues after running through a full tank and a half. On full - it does go through fuel pretty fast, but once I got to where I wanted, I was able to throttle it back to 50% or so and maintain for an extended period of time, on a very cold day.

Not good for non handy people.
This lf bros n2 heater didn't start up right out of the box. Error code e1. When I communicated this with lf bros thru Amazon messenger, they immediately gave me a full refund. Last year I purchased the lf bros n4 heater. It started running real bad. Smoking and stinking up my camper. It kept dying more and more often until it wouldn't restart anymore. Several different error codes. Gave me bronchitis. Amazon gave me a full refund. I decided to try again this year with the n2 but it never started and failed right out of the box. So I just ordered the new hcalory toolbox heater. Hopefully this one works better than the lf bros. I can't afford a webasto and their review are worse. Im disabled and not able to fix stuff anymore. If you buy one of these diesel heaters, at some point you will have to repair it and apparently there are no diesel heater service techs. On the bright side, lf bros customer service and Amazon's customer service were great.

Good customer service - works great!
So, the first unit I got arrived Dead on arrival. Not sure what the issue was, but after wiring it up and trying to turn it on...nothing came on. Probably was a dead controller, but the company sent me a brand new unit to replace it and didn't even require that I ship the old unit back. I have to say I've been EXTREMELY impressed. So far, I've used it multiple days as a garage heater but it's primary purpose will be to heat my camping rig for winter camping trips. A couple things stand out verses all the other "Chinese" cheap heaters out there from what I've seen on Youtube videos. This unit is virtually 100% plug and play. There is almost nothing to assemble, other than the exhaust pipe and muffler. Everything is self contained and already assembled inside the unit except the exhaust pipe and muffler. I really like that the fuel tank appears to be spill and vapor proof with a nice robust seal. No leaks or fumes from my experience so far. Once you wire up the positive and negative, you literally just push one single button to turn it on and it does the rest. I've been exclusively using the really simple remote, because the controller doesn't have labels on the buttons and not any good instructions on what does what. After a few minutes it fires up and you have heat in about 3 or 4 minutes. My unit never smoked at all and has burned perfectly clean. You can control output by increasing or decreasing the heat, but I wouldn't say there's a huge variation between maximum and minimum. My biggest worry is that it may work too good for heating up such a small space in my rig. Turning it off, is a simple push the off button and it goes into the shutdown mode, which kills the burner, turns off the fuel pump and then runs the fan for a few minutes to cool things down. So far I've used it about 5 full days, running about 10-12 hours a day. At full power, a gallon of diesel seems to last roughly 8-10 hours, give or take. I wasn't timing it, but the efficiency is impressive. It's still a cheap Chinese diesel heater in the end, but after using it and reading all the reviews of the other more popular brands, these guys have done a much better job than most, in this price range. The customer service was extremely impressive as well. The best part compared to other units is the exhaust comes out the side so you don't have to build a platform for it to stand on although you don't want to set it on something that isn't combustible. Edit: Update 1/3/2024: Been using this heater as a garage heater and out camping and so far it's worked flawlessly. One tank of diesel will last at least 10 hours on full power, maybe 12 hours. Camping, I ran it on the low setting, which is all I needed to heat a roof top tent and one tank lasted 19 hours straight and still has diesel left in it the tank when I turned it off. Best part of all, is simple set up and use. I set the unit on a little metal stool I have, attach the exhaust (I don't even bother with a clamp) plug in the cig lighter to my Jackery, push one single button on the key fob and after a few minutes of starting up it's working. Then route the ducting and it's all done. So easy.

Great little heater
This little heater is fantastic. I have a 2006 E-250 extended van with a high top, I modified an aluminum truck toolbox to fit the heater, couple holes for the exhaust and heater trunk, used a piece of blue board foam cut to fit in the front passenger window and run the heater trunk through a hole cut in that, works great. We camped the first weekend in September in Alaska, eureka area so temps were right around 30 at night, ran this on the lowest setting all night, temps stayed at about 68, perfect for sleeping. I have an Ego 400 watt power inverter with the 6.5 amp hour battery and I only get about 8 hours of power out of that, I am planning to buy a bigger battery. If you’re up til midnight it’s fine you’ll have enough to last all night, but on the night we went to bed earlier I set my alarm for midnight so I could start the heater and go back to sleep, not ideal, but also not that bad because the remote works from inside the van, didnt even have to get out of bed just wake up hit the button and go back to sleep. The heater performs perfectly, I love this little thing. LF bros has come out with a different controller for this unit that has a timer if you’re concerned about that, so you could buy it and swap it out

Superior quality
Youll understand why these are priced higher than the others when you recieve the unit. Night and day difference with build quality coming from the cheaper options. For some reason even the fuel cap feels super premium like the cap itself would cost $30 😂 After removing the cover, you can see the beautiful tank they designed to maximize fuel capacity. Its pretty quite but that fan does roar at higher speeds! No issues with the remote control. Does an amazing job heating my camper van.
