Great Replacement for WiFi
The WiFi card on my XPS was intermittently failing and the XPS-15 does not have an Ethernet Port. This device works perfectly, but do be aware that only certain USB ports will supporrt Ethernet. This should be explained in the online details of your Laptop.

Works very well with a Android phone,
Works very well with a Android phone, You can use it to test Network, as the phone has DHCP it works better than most network testers, just download a free Network App, and away you go, this Adapter is true plug and play, Great price, Very happy with the Adapter, Dave

Randomly dropping the connection.
Purchased to connect a Pico 4 VR headset directly to my router via a Cat6 cable. This works well for a while, greatly improving the throughput to the headset when compared with WiFi or USB connections. Unfortunately it has a habit of dropping the connection at random times, requiring a reboot of the PC and the headset. I guess you get what you pay for, as this was the cheapest "USB3 to Ethernet" adaptor on Amazon.
