I've got this and the one for tenor ...it's brilliant and the backing and training tracks are really helpful

This is an excellent practical way for intermediate saxophonists to develop their funk style. Gernot Dechert really seems to understand what we need in terms of examples, exercises and explanations, as well as some dead funky and brilliant professional musican backing tracks to play to. Coming from a background of relative funk ignorance, I'm finding it very useful in terms of getting a handle on phrasing, articulation, rhythm and improvisation.

It wasn't what I thought.

Anfangs,als ich die Noten zum ersten Mal betrachtete, dachte ich das kann ich nie spielen. Aber als ich mich näher damit befasste und mit der Notierung auseinandersetzte und dann zu spielen anfing machte es zusehends Spaß.Ein tolles Buch um in die Spielart des Funk einzusteigen. Für Anfänger allerdings nicht zu empfehlen.
