Awesome vibrant color, great hold, and washes out completely clean!
I am really impressed with this silver gray hair color wax! I used it for a costume event, and the color payoff was fantastic, it gave a really vibrant, sleek metallic gray look even on darker hair. The texture is easy to work with, applies smoothly, and provides a solid all-day hold without feeling overly stiff or sticky. What I love most is how incredibly easy it is to wash out; a single rinse with regular shampoo in the shower and it was completely gone with no staining left behind. It’s perfect for parties, cosplay, or just testing out a new look without the commitment. Highly recommend!

Covers well for very dark hair.
This worked wonderfully on my dark hair. Sometimes I just want a streak of color but I dont want to commit to the bleaching my hair would need to have a vivid color in my hair. This fits the bill. For the negative, it is almost like a hair gel in its behaviour. If you use too much (as you're likely apt to do because if you have dark hair like me you think you need more to cover) your hair will be unbrushable. It was very difficult when I applied too much. I found that I had to segment my hair into small pieces to get the least amount of sticking and it was easier to brush through after application. As for brushing, yes it can be difficult to brush through, and there will be transfer to your brush (if you use a boar or nylon bristle brush) It cleans out of the brush very easily but wait for your brush to dry before going after your hair again. After the product dries, if you brush your hair again, theproduct can flake off slightly, so be careful to brush your hair in a safe place for a little dusting of the dried product.I did notice where the dried product touched my skin, I did have a little breakout. I do have fairly sensitive skin though, so just be aware.I think with short hairstyles (like the picture) especially spiky styles or for a stripe of color in longer hair, its wonderful. You probably dont want to go full head with longer hair though, your hair will look dry with this product in. I alternated and did some creative painting with this, purple, and pink to emulate a galaxy color prior to committing to a permanent bleaching vivid color style. I think to counter the matte appearance of this product a spray oil or a spray shine might be a nice finisher. As for how easily does this wash out? One good washing and there was no trace of the product. I used Bumble and Bumble sunday shampoo though and that will strip pretty much any product out of your hair. I did follow with a thorough moisturizing shampoo and generous conditioning after needing that much stripping to remove the product. As for how long does this last. Until you wash your hair. It will fade slightly after a day if you dont wash your hair.If you plan to go to a club, or using this in a hot environment where you may sweat, be careful because if this gets wet, if can trigger the gel like behaviour and your hair may clump.

Bright Colors, Long Lasting
I really like these colors. I have a dark brown natural hair color and the colors show up pretty well with a fairly light application. My hair isn't very long so I'll get tons of uses out of these. The hold seems to be decent but I'm not positive how well it holds up on its own since I give my hair a final coat of hair spray so I know it isn't going anywhere after it's styled. It rinses out easily and completely, no stains on my hair or scalp.

The smell is atrocious and won't fade!
I bought a jar of grey back in October 2025 and while my hair was gross - crunchy & gluey - about 3/4 of the jar worked great at covering my long dark brown hair and making it look like Denathor's, so I bought it again in May 2026. Boy was that a mistake. Not only is the coverage not as good, taking a full jar to look decent, the smell is atrocious. It's like a teenage boy used an entire can of body spray after soaking for hours in concentrated cologne infused shaving cream. We drove with the windows open to an outdoor event and still, we all got massive headaches - even our usually nose blind friend. I've since taken 2 showers in the span of 4 hours and thoroughly washed my hair 4 times and tried using fragrant hair products to get rid of the smell, and it's barely faded. I don't know if they changed the recipe or the previous one I ordered was a happy accident, but after this one, I would give this 0 stars if I could. Avoid avoid avoid, especially if you're sensitive to smells!

Not as pigment!
Product was a very waxy whipped kind of consistency. It worked through the hair pretty easily and washed off the hands pretty well. Unfortunately when it came due to applying color it didn't exactly apply a lot of pigment to the color. Several layers had to be applied with the first 2 layers drying first and then another layer slicked over as if it was a fine film. Product is definitely meant to just be layered and then dried to achieve that full green effect really wish it had a lot more pigmentation but I guess you get what you pay for.

This deserves a higher rating!
I decided to try this out to age-up a character I'm playing in a stage production, and I was blown away. It was easy to use, looked perfect for the effect I was trying to achieve, smelled good, and washed out easily.I have thick, dark brown hair, but with maybe a half teaspoon of product, I was enough to get the color in the photo. I did a second application (not pictured), which looked even better. My hair is pretty short, so it was easy to get full coverage. This may work on longer hair, but I can't say for sure. If you have dark hair like me, you'll probably never fully eliminate the dark undertones, but the effect you get looks very natural. It is much more dramatic in outdoor or stage lighting. Not only was the color great, but it also worked well for styling. The product is described as a "hair wax" but was more like a forming cream or clay. I should note, I applied it to completely dry, unwashed (slighly oily, TBH) hair with some left-over pomade in it from the day before. Still, it was easy to work into my hair and had a lightweight, matte finish. The hold is good, flexible, not strong enough to give you anime hair, strong enough to give you natural-looking textures. If you need a stronger hold, you may need to use styling fiber or finish with hairspray. As for clean up, it was a breeze. Washed out in one shampooing. I used gloves to apply it, so I wouldnt have to worry about it staining my hands. If you touch your hair, it does transfer a little bit, leaving a kind of silver residues on your skin, and I'd imagine it could transfer color onto your clothing too, but I didn't run into that issue.Overall, great product for actors, cosplayers, or youthful 40-somethings who are tired of being carded at bars.

No in wigs, and no in natural hair
I got two jars of this to experiment with, aiming to answer two questions:1) Can it be used in wigs? Answer: no. At least not synthetic fibers, but maybe it'd work in natural hair wigs. But for as much as those cost, who'd take the risk? Especially considering the answer to question 2. I tried putting it in a short ombré-blonde wig, one that barely reaches the shoulders. It took half the jar, and the color was grainy and uneven, with speckles and clumps no matter how long I tried to even it out with hands or comb; I guess it just doesn't want to adhere and spread evenly on synthetic fibers. At least it washed out well, and the wig remains usable.2) Can it be used in natural hair? I don't have enough to do any more than be an experimental subject, but my wife does, so we tried it in mine as a test case for hers. The result was a barely visible color change (might have done better in her sandy-blonde hair than my dark brown), a sticky flaky coating that got onto clothing and furniture (well, onto towels we put into place for the test, over clothing and furniture), and a pretty awful smell. It did straighten out my hair at first, though it curled back up later, and I can see how it might be useful for styling, but I can't see how anyone, even starting from bone-white hair, could get the colors they show in the pictures.A jar is at most two applications, maybe one if you have long hair and want to color it all. You'll be washing out everything you wore or sat on after you're done. And I don't know how you'd deal with the smell. What I am wondering now, though, is might other brands work better, or is this just how it is?On the up side, it is easy to apply and easy to wash back out.
