Great steam functions
I have been using this washing machine for several months now. It offers one of the best steam programs on the market (I have previously used Smeg and Haier models with steam functions). The washing machine also offers an anti-wrinkle function after washing is complete, if you unable to unload the laundry immediately. It's essentially a gentle steam program (not a refresh cycle) that runs until you stop it. You can easily customize programs by adding steam at the end of the wash cycle, which is very handy when washing sheets, duvet covers, and t-shirts, as you don't need to iron them afterward. The control panel is very intuitive and easy to use. Loads of additional washing programs are available on the app. The washing machine switches itself off automatically after use. The drum is large enough to accommodate a double duvet (I have tested this with a down-filled double duvet). Unfortunately, this washing machine has a few downsides: It is relatively noisy (especially when spinning at 1400-1600 RPM) because it doesn't have a direct-drive motor, unlike the Haier I-Pro7 I used previously. The drain pump also works loudly when pumping out water. This has been a disappointment. It doesn't have a drum light. I would expect this feature to be added. The emergency syringe uses a flap instead of the flexible tube. This makes it a bit awkward to drain the remaining water as you will need to have a very low-profile baking tray, and you can't drain the washing machine before taking the filter out. Not a clever solution. The app itself works very smoothly, and you can fully control the washing machine. However, what I'm missing on the app are statistics showing energy consumption and water usage per cycle, as well as the number of washings done during a month, year, etc.

Top Quality German Engineering
Seen this model for 899 elsewhere, so 530 was a no brainer, washes well and well built.

Poor build quality
Bought this machine because of the steam function and pod dispenser in the drawer rather than having to put the pods in the drum. Our first purchase of this brand Electrolux AEG and for £745.00 a big splash on a machine for someone on a low income. The machine came and worked brilliantly for 2 weeks then suddenly during a 95Degree wash the front panel spontaneously cracked abnormally from the inside. (See photo’s). No problem called Amazon they arranged collection which was a day later, I then waited a week for the replacement, a minor annoyance. We had the new machine it had some minor differences from the other machine being a drum seal design was different and instead of a aluminium backing bearing/drum plate/access panel there were a plastic one. This replacement machine worked lovely and on a few 95degree washes the front glass touch panel was still in one piece. Then all of a sudden on starting to spin I could hear metallic squealing like the motor bushes or bearing drums starting to perish and it got louder upon use, so I called Amazon who would inly action a refund this time unlike last time they offered repair, replace, partial refund and keep the machine as is or full refund. So it’s been returned today. I now have to wait a week for refund then order a new one which could take a week. AEG! What’s up with the poor quality?

One little, teeny, tiny gripe
I previously had an AEG Lavamat, it was a great washing machine and lasted nearly 15 years. That's why I stuck to AEG because of the quality and longevity of the machine. Don't get me wrong, I can't complain about this AEG 7000 series, it washes the clothes well, it is quiet, and so far no problems at all. If I can be a little picky, I found the plastic tray's quality to be a little poor. I don't like all the compartments for pods/powder/softener. When shutting the drawer I feel if you aren't careful the plastic could snap. That's the only disappointment I have, I purchased distinctly for quality, only to find a cheaper plastic/flexible drawer. Other than that little gripe, I can't fault the workings of it.

Good value for money
This is a good machine. I'm still finding my way round it and so far, I have not been disappointed. The drum takes our King size duvet cover easily. Some of the washes are long - ( 3 hours) for the full 9kg load but I avoid those by using smaller loads and short cycle. It is also easy to use. Turn your dial to your selected wash and press the go button..if you have overloaded for the programme you selected, the machine will put it to the programme it should be, this can give you time to re- shuffle your load and get to the correct programme you want. Even my husband and son understand how to operate the machine!!! Yes, I am pleased with the purchase. It is very good value for money.
