Great metal stand and glass gauge. No Plastic Anywhere! It serves three purposes very well. First, it is good value and worth the price. Second, it is a nice accurate gauge that is easy for me to read. I use it when I am watering my yard so I know how long to run the sprinkler. Third, it is attractive and when I am done I just stick it in my wife's flower garden and it makes a nice decoration until the next time I need it.

This past summer we had a lot of rain and we live by a road that floods. We were very anxious and curious about how much rain we accumulated, so I wanted to get a rain gauge. I searched and found this one. What appealed to me was the design, accuracy of the reading, ease of cleaning and emptying and ease of use. This gauge is not flimsy, it is quality built. Once received, what we liked the best were the markings that allowed us to easily measure the amount of rain received. This is a very pretty, yet sturdy and accurate rain gauge.

I like that this gauge can be placed in the ground at ground level. It goes into the ground just like a Shepard's hook and that keeps it stable. The yellow background makes it easy to read. The markings are large print that helps aging eyes read at a distance. The tube lifts out easily but is very secure when set into the unit.

Very cute rain gauge. I'm not sure of the accuracy but it seems close to what the weather people say my area received. I got my neighbor one as a gift. It looks nice in the garden and the color strip makes it easier to read.

Sturdy and nice size. First one arrive with broken tube despite package being placed in an undamaged box. Replacement was quickly received. I like the cleaning brush/sponge. This will help get out dirt and leaves that accumulate.

The original gauge shattered in a deep freeze, so I needed a replacement. I would've preferred something not glass to prevent that in the future, but I guess this fits. We'll see how long it lasts.

I'm sorry but, the first freeze we had (& we live down south so it wasn't that bad or long. Barely a full day) the darn thing CRACKED. We figured it was because it was made out of plastic, the clear tube measure'er. We tried getting a replacement, but even though we ordered several sizes NONE of them fit inside the iron circles that hold the rain measure'er. Now we have this thing rusting, sitting around & not sure what to do about it. After a while we gave up and just bought a new one. So unfortunately overall I can't suggest getting this. At All. As sorry. I really wanted it to work too.
