Whirlpool W10510666 Dishwasher Circulation Pump (replaces W10510666) Genuine Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) part

This is super easy to install if you have a Pex (Sharkbite) hand tool. If you don't have one of those tools, you have to either buy one (very expensive at something like $50+) -- which is more expensive than the part you're installing. I ended up borrowing the tool from my neighbor, but if you don't have a kindly neighbor with a fabulous garage of tools, you'll have to track down the Pex tool to secure the connection. Other than that, installation was easy peasy.

Saved myself hundreds of dollars and months of waiting for a new dish washer by ordering and installing this piece. Part installed fine and has worked well for several months now.

This part is the circulation pump, which is the reason the water shoots all around and through your dishwasher. You will know you need this part if your dishwasher sounds like it drains, fills with water and drains again during the beginning/pre-wash/drain cycles but then have extremely long periods of dead silence or a faint hum. Your dishwasher wouldn't be designed to do nothing (other than the silent heat dry) so that means nothing is getting washed, and it is likely this part that is dead. You would also still have tons of soap all over your dispenser and door. Easy to replace, and much cheaper than a whole new dishwasher

Part worked for 1 1/2 years then failed. I actually forgot I had previously replaced this part until I went to purchase it again and Amazon reminded me I bought one in January of 2021. At about 1/3 the cost of a new dishwasher for an additional year and a half of service; I'm torn whether to replace it again or buy a new dishwasher?

If your Whirlpool dishwasher doesn't pump water during the wash cycle this item is likely your culprit. Easy to install if you're reasonably handy like being able to change the oil or light bulbs for your car. The pump is located at the bottom of the dishwasher. Slide it out and lay it on it's back. Easy peasy.

So glad this ended up being our problem. Easy to install and no issues. Came in really good protective packaging
