Easy to grip objects. These are long enough to cover beyond my elbows enabling me to reach down into my Ninja multi cooker to retrieve food. ( I have burned my arm twice doing this!)

Too early to tell as I just got those for someone who kept burning wrists and forearms as her oven gloves only covered her hands, so will edit if necessary if there are use issues which hopefully wont arise. I'll give points for the length which can be folded as necessary, they are not too thick as to hinder grasping whatever dish is in the oven, and providing the insulation is adequate, they eliminate the worry of scalding. But, and this is why the 3 stars rating for now, it has to be mentioned that the product description saying these gloves are washable needs removing, as the label in the gloves states otherwise: they cannot be washed nor should they be (obviously) immersed. Update: the person I bought these for has been using them regularly and is very satisfied with them. As I was waiting for the verdict, based upon it, I bought another pair for myself and must say that I too am satisfied with those gloves. So that's an extra star, but still one withed due to the 'washable' being still present in the description.

I wanted long oven gloves because I have short arms but an oven door that opens downwards instead of sideways so was always burning my left arm. I sent for these, good length for such short arms but the hands on these are are massive and so inflexible that they'd be more dangerous to wear than normal oven gloves. These are useless if you have small arms and hands so binned them and sent for something more flexible and with fingers for that extra bit of grip.

I received these extra long oven mitts from my husband for Christmas sort of as a gag gift because I am notorious for burning my hands and arms when putting things into the oven and taking things out of the oven. Well, let me say these are no joke! I love them. They come up to my elbows and they fit well. I can get a good handle on dishes and pans I put in the oven. No more burn marks up and down my arms and on the backs of my hands!!! I highly recommend these mitts for anyone who is prone to burning their arms when cooking!

Cover arms up to mid bicep, which will be great to prevent oven burns. The hand area is really stiff so it can be difficult to grasp a tray, but I’m hoping it will soften up with time.
