Review: Fantastic Financial Literacy Resource for Homeschooling! - As a homeschooling parent, I'm always looking for resources that are both practical and engagingโand the Evan-Moor Financial Literacy Workbook checks all the boxes. I used this as part of our social studies and life skills curriculum, and itโs been a huge success! The workbook introduces real-world money concepts like budgeting, saving, banking, and understanding paychecks in a clear, age-appropriate way. The scenarios are realistic and easy for kids to relate to, which really helps the lessons stick. I also love how it encourages critical thinking and responsible decision-making, not just rote memorization. The layout is clean and easy to follow, with just the right amount of writing and problem-solving. It works well for independent study, but we've also used some of the pages as discussion starters during family learning time. I highly recommend this for any homeschool family looking to build practical life skills! Itโs an excellent tool for preparing kids to be financially smart and confident! Amazingly, this subject is not taught in school.
Useful for daily life function, my child loves these books. Better if bought from grade one, to grasp throughly.

Great for elementary!
These lessons are very informational for my homeschooled kids (ages 5-10). Some things are a little difficult for the younger ones, but we do all the lessons verbally and together which makes it able for this age range. Their favorite things in the book are the games. The stories are nice, and I particularly liked where they needed to choose between two similar jobs in order to save for something. It was a great discussion about why we might choose one over the other, or could choose both. They didn't guess all of the options, so they are definitely learning a lot of new things! I paired this with the GoHenry app which you can get when you pay for the Acorns investment app as of last month (April 2024), so the kids are earning their weekly allowance, and can put into practice the things they learn from this book! I've also made their own buying accounts in my household on Amazon so I can track and approve their purchases. They are teen accounts but it works. I also like that this book builds their financial vocabulary. The stories are relatable. So far so good!

Homeschool Mom Approved!
I really loved using this book for my daughter (age 8) to start introducing the importance of saving money and how to make smart financial choices. The scenarios in the book were very realistic which was great! The only reason I took away one star was because I wish there were more scenarios and less games. The games all felt very similar and it would have been nice to give her more scenarios to practice making smart financial choices.

Great product and fun games
Great product and fun games! The principles that are covered are spot on for this age and helpful for our family. This gave us some simple schooling to do over the summer break. We purchased the next year already.

Great homeschool resource!
This is a great book to use as a guideline to teach kids, just as the title reads, financial literacy! I bought this one for my 4th and 6th grade children. Even though this book says for 3rd grade, it still has many important lessons and great exercises to keep their thoughts rolling! As soon as we finish this 3rd grade book then we will move on to the next grade up!
