Excellent packaging by Amazon. SSD is very fast and gives around 400mbps to 500 mbps transfer speed when connected to USB 3.1. Must recommend if you want to transfer files from one computer to another . Also if you are into gaming .. This is a must buy as the loading times and frames are very smooth. I have stored games on my San Disk Extreme sky blue SSD and they work very smoothly .. Connectivity is good.Material and build quality is nice.Color go for the sky blue as it looks nice.Also very pocket friendly and is small but very powerful.Must buy for computer enthusiasts.

The 'SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD 1TB' is a solid external drive that delivers dependable performance, though not quite as fast as its advertised speeds. While it claims up to 1050MBps read and 1000MBps write, my actual tests using the Blackmagic Disk Speed Test showed around 800MBps for both read and write speeds. It's worth noting that I formatted the drive in exFAT, which is compatible with both Mac and Windows devices, as opposed to APFS (exclusive to Apple devices), which might yield higher speeds. In a real-world test, transferring a 23.65GB file to the SSD took about 47 seconds, and copying it back to my laptop took 32 seconds, both over a Type-C port. While these speeds are lower than the theoretical maximums, they're still quite fast for typical everyday use. For normal users, who aren’t constantly moving massive files, you’ll find it transfers 1GB files in a blink. If you're looking for blazing speeds, formatting it in APFS on an Apple device will give you better performance. But for most users, especially those working across platforms, the real-world speeds of around 700MBps read and 500MBps write in exFAT are more than adequate. Overall, this SSD is a good balance of portability and speed—perfect for everyday use!

Very sleek gadget. It comes with a default exFAT format. Ideally it is good for general purpose use. However, if you are transferring large amount of data (especially larger number of files) or want to store data for longer time, I recommend to reformat it to NTFS or APFS depending on whether you use Windows or Mac. When I tried to copy a large number of files on the exFAT from my Macbook, after around 400GM, the disk got full. I guess it is due to the way exFAT stores the files and index. Also, it took a lot of time to copy the files. I reformatted the Sandisk SSD to APFS, for about 900GB of data it too jus about 6 minutes to copy without any issues from my MacBook. I am use if you have windows and use NTFS format on this SSD drive, the experience will be very good. Overall, it is very good from all the aspects such as , compactness, write/read speed, aesthetics

It has become expensive now but worth it. Actually not that expensive. You know what I mean , given situation they might get more expensive. It's pretty fast too. But been only a week so fingers crossed. Otherwise love it. Good built and cable. Simple and nice.

Performance, Connectivity, Material, Detection wise is really good and I want to buy another time but now the price is doubled. I bought in 2024 for Rs 14980 Rs and now the price in Jun 2026 is 30527 Rs. I don't understand why this much price increase?

Writing this review after 5 months of properly using it as a video editor. This SSD is very good according to the price (I bought it in 8000). It heats up little bit even in ideal condition. Durability is good, but I think Samsung T7 Shield is more durable than this. Wire quality is also very good. But wire size is very short, it is always hanging from the port.

Rapide, solide, efficace, voilà plus de deux ou trois années que j'en ai un et j'en ai rien à dire. Je l'ai certes payé cher au départ. Mais à l'arrivée il est mon meilleur compagnon pour mes vidéos et autres. Je conseille les yeux fermés. Seul, petit bémol le cordon USB qui est vraiment trop petit.

Very cool delivery, on time, very happy with the SSD drive, it is a little more expensive than the usual one, but since my previous hard drive failed and I lost all my data irrevocably, it is better to get a reliable drive, although the price is higher for the sake of reliability and quality.
