These have SAVED my hands while lifting in our garage gym during the winters. They are thick enough that they fit over the metal dumbbell and barbell handles, but aren’t so thick that I can’t grip them still. I have used these for almost a year and all of them are still in great shape. I have ended up using them year round, and they are durable. They are slightly squishy, not hard. I didn’t end up adhering them to anything, so I can take them off and switch them around to whatever weight I’m using.

UPDATE 1/24/2026. So I found a way to make these work effectively. The wide velcro strip that is mounted to the bar is saying in place firmly. The two strips of velcro that mount to the cushioned grip is the failure point. So I used a sewing machine to sew the two velcro adhesive strips to the cushioned grip material. The velcro strips are now firmly attached to the cushioned grip material. Now when I place both ends of the velcro to the velcro on the bar, the grip stays firmly in place. Velcro adhesive does not stick well to a rubberized surface. If this company would permantly secure the two velcro strips to the rubberized cushion material this would be a five star product. I am updating my review from 2 stars to 4. This creates a perfect grip on my dumbbells and barbells even though I am having to improvise. ----------------------------------------- Installed these exactly as instructed. Cleaned the bar thoroughly with alcohol, let it dry, wrapped the grip tight. It felt solid for one workout. The next morning? Garbage. The adhesive completely let go at the seam. When I grabbed the barbell, all I felt was sticky tape instead of grip where the seam was positioned. I even followed their prep advice, so this wasn’t user error — the adhesive just sucks. If you lift, pull, or sweat at all, these will fail fast. Save your money unless you enjoy rewrapping your equipment every day. ⭐️⭐️ (only because it technically worked… briefly)

I have a Gold's Gym pullup bar and the foam grips were falling apart. This was a perfect replacement! I did not use the velcro because it fit perfectly on the bar as is and I can use it without any issues. I bought 2 of these to replace all the foam grips.

So the foam piece itself if nice and cushiony. I bought these because one of the foam grips on my pull up bore tore/came off, so this was to replace that. They fit perfectly until you add the velcro to hold them on there, then they won't close and are just awkward and the flaps don't stay pressed down. Just a bad system. I took off the velcro and thought about trying to maybe just glue them on there, but figured that probably wouldn't stay put with use. So for now I've sewn it shut the best I could. We'll see if that lasts, but I couldn't return it at this point, so I figured I'd try.

A good amount of cushioning

I put these grips on my mower I bought and some hand trimmers. Soft thick and durable. Highly recommend for extra comfort

Unfortunately while I did decide to keep these grips, I also just grew complacent with them sliding all over the paddle all the time. They’re great for not getting blisters on long paddle trips but terrible for staying where you put them. I wasn’t too happy but ultimately got lazy and never returned them. I wouldn’t recommend.
