Is this suitable for growing bonsai?

I think it would be fine for taking cuttings and starting them. Eventually, you have to move to a more permanent media

What is the shelf life of these? Does the soil deteriorate or expire over time?

These are dry compressed peat pellets. I would say the shelf life would be several years. As long as you keep them dry. I live in FL where the humidity is very high and I store them in the garage.

Can I use the pods for Apricot or avocado seeds?

No, these are very small. Just regular flower or garden seeds, not tree seeds.

Not very good

These are coco coir and seem to kill the seed. Out of 10 seeds only 2 germinated, used the same seeds in plain dirt and they all germinated. I would NOT buy these again.

Cheaper than brand but not as good

The pellets are harder to work with compared to similar brand name products. There’s not a great hole at the top, you have to rip away or cut the fabric.
