Easy to use. Works well.
While it looks a lot like regular spackling paste, it has worked well for me needs, which was to fill in gaps in a door and the the wall opposite the door, when I installed a new lock. The areas I filled in, and built up, appear quite solid, as though they are actual wood. Screws that have gone into the filled in areas are securely in place. For the larger spots (holes), I built up the fill in stages. Absolutely no cracked, or size reduction, visible post drying. Very pleased.

Works exactly as they say it does
This is a wonderful wood filler. I use it a lot on my speaker builds to fill in imperfections and mistakes. LOL I can add wood shavings to it, wood dust, or even some stain to color. It sands perfectly smooth and blends in really good. Definitely would recommend.

One jar replaced every other filler in my shop
I grabbed the Neutral Goodfilla mostly for grain-filling an oak desk, but itโs turned into the catch-all fix for every nick, gouge, and pore around the house. The paste spreads like cake frosting, levels itself in the grain, and after 15 minutes is ready for 220-grit, no waiting overnight, no mystery shrinking the next day. First project was an oak desktop: one thin swipe, light sand, then stain. The filled sections took color so evenly you canโt spot where the pores were. Since then Iโve tinted small batches with water-based dye to patch a walnut coffee table and even mixed in black pigment to fake ebony plugs on a pine bookshelf. Cleanup is just a damp rag; brushes rinse out under the tap instead of soaking in solvent. โข No cracking or sinking, even on deep screw holes โข Accepts oil, water, or lacquer finishes without blotching โข Fine sanding dust -wonโt clog paper after two passes Minor warning: leave the lid loose for even an hour and the top skin starts to thicken, so I press a circle of plastic wrap against the surface before sealing the tub. Small hassle for a filler thatโs saved me at least three separate products. If you work with open-grain woods or just want a ready-to-tint patching compound, this 8-oz jar punches way above its weight.

This is a great product
I refinished some very old, damaged end tables using a chalk mineral paint. I had a large area on the top of one end table that needed filling in where I had to peel away damaged veneer. There were other areas on the sides and legs that needed attention also. I loved this product. It spread so nicely and dried so quickly. I would definitely use this again. I still have quite a bit left in the small container I purchased. I couldn't get this at my local hardware store so I'm thankful I could buy it online.

Would not take ANY stain I tried
I wanted to love this. It had great reviews. And it was really easy to use and to clean up. My issue was, it would not take ANY stain I tried. Water-based, oil-based, wax, nothing. No amount of soaking letting it soak, multiple coats, nothing worked. I guess I should have tried mixing the stain with the product while it was still wet, but I wouldnโt have been able to match the color that way. As it was, I finally resorted to a brown Sharpie to color the repaired area. Didnโt work great, but nothing else worked at all. So 5 stars for ease of use, 0 stars for ability to match damage to existing finish.

Great product
This product is great, I've used products such as quick wood, plastic wood, and others. They are good, but they dry out, and that's the end. Goodfilla, just add a little warm water, stir it up, and your good to go. Not only that, with Goodfilla, you get a top of the line product, in my opinion, for a better price. As a wood carver, I need a filler that you can carve, this carves just like the wood, perfect. Also I like a wood filler that I can sculpt little details for the carving I'm working on, i can sculpt it just like clay, again perfect. From now on for the foreseeable future, Goodfilla is my go to brand of filler. I highly recommend this product for any of your projects that you need wood filler for.

Fails on multiple counts
I bought this to fill the grain on a walnut rifle stock, after first being assured the product was perfect for that. Ordered Neutral/Base, thinking that "neutral" meant it would be clear on application. NOPE - it's opaque white. But assured it is easy to use with any stain, I tried mixing in walnut stain; stirring and stirring and spreading around forever, since the stuff is quite solid and hard to stir. Ended up with a walnut color filler, and spread it into grain as instructed. Little white lumps appeared everywhere, as apparently my mixing still wasn't complete. AND after sanding off the excess as directed, the grain wasn't even filled! So I'm left with white grain in spots, walnut grain in others, but NONE of them filled in. Now I have to re-sand the whole stock, and buy the expensive stuff that actually works, as I should have done originally.

My favourite filler
This is my favourite filler for projects. Very easy to use, apply and sand. Doesnโt dry out as quickly as others. A little tub but it does go a long way.

Great product
This is a really great product. Does exactly what the company says it will do. I moved in to an older house where the much loved wood mantel had hundreds of pin holes I would assume for Christmas stockings etc. I very lightly sanded down the rough areas filled with the wood filler then a very lightly rub with a cloth. When dry painted the wood. Looks great no visible hole marks.

good product but....
good product. application is good and sands very nicely. But wow is it expensive. for the price you get very little product. I have heard of shrinkflation but .... I think we should get more product for the price.
