Case-Mate Magnetic Phone Grip & Ring Stand - MagSafe Holder - Twinkle Disco

For my first ever finger loop holder thingie, I wanted a strong hold (without requiring adhesive to my phone or case), softness/comfort with strength, and attractiveness. I wanted a fun whimsical look. The lostly white but also slightly irridescent look was appealing to me and matches several of my cases. And I wanted value for my money. This msgsafe phone grip (as I learned it is called) has become indispensible. As soon as my phone in it’s magsafe case comes off the wireless charger, this case mate magsafe grip snaps on. I take it off briefly for quick magsafe portable charging, and it’s right back on again. I drop my phones, on average, about every other time one is in my hands. But with this, I have not dropped my latest iphone 17 pro max upgrade yet. And I’m on crutches, holding my phone solely with one finger and crutching around town. This grip doesn’t do anything fancy. No turning around like upgrade pop sockets unless I manually unsnap and reposition. Doesn’t help the phone to stand. I have a case that does that. But the loop is easy to use, just magnetically snap on or off. That’s it. It does what it’s supposed to do well and with style! I LOVE it’s soft silicone feel and know the magsafe grip will hold even though I’m using one finger and hopping around running into things. And despite taking it on and off several times a day, the hold remains good and there is zero wear and tear visible on the loop or my phone case. Reminder: this loop only works with bare magsafe phones or magsafe cases.

It’s been almost a year since I bought this item and here’s my review Magnet’s hold is still strong. Color didn’t change, didn’t turn yellowish. Loop is still sturdy and no cracks. Just a reminder if you need to take it off DO NOT PULL!! If you want it to last longer slide it off the side instead. I also wipe the case to remove any oil or dirt before putting it back on. It’s holding up pretty well so I’m very satisfied with my purchase. UPDATE : After 17 months (1 year and 5 months), one side of the loop broke. So I bought a metal ring holder as replacement (from other brand) coz I’m thinking it’s more durable and would last longer but I didn’t last a week using the metal one coz it hurts my finger and leaves a red mark when I’m holding my phone for long. So I actually ended up getting this product again. This rubber holder is just so comfortable to use so I’m sticking to this.

I ordered two of the metal phone loops, one in twinkle disco and one in mother of pearl. They're gorgeous, and at first, work great. (At least, they do on non case mate brand magsafe cases -- I have the twinkle disco case as well, plus other cases by other brands, and these grips have a very poor hold on the case mate cases and fall off constantly. They hold better with other brand phone cases, which I found surprising. I think the cases need stronger magnets.) Anyway, so the major issue with these is that there's a screw that holds the loop to the base, and over the course of daily use, it gradually comes unscrewed. In a little over a month of use, after slowly getting looser and looser, the thing finally became completely flaccid and useless. It could be easily remedied if the screw was made so that you could use a tiny screwdriver to tighten it, but it doesn't have the notches in the head for that. Maybe a tiny wrench could be used to grip and tighten it, but I don't have anything small enough to do that so I didn't try. I was able to easily file a warranty claim with the company and get a replacement sent, which arrived quickly. However, they charge $7 for shipping the return, which seems ludicrous for a $20-30 name brand product that fails in less than two months of normal use. I wouldn't buy these again, no matter how pretty they are. I have a generic metal phone loop which works great and holds tight without coming apart, which was less than $10. It's plain metal, not dazzled up like these are, but at the end of the day if the thing doesn't function it doesn't really matter if it's cute or not. The generic one isn't ugly, just simple is all. So in summary, I don't recommend these phone grips. They're majorly overpriced for what you get, fall apart in a matter of weeks, aren't fixable when they fall apart, the replacement costs money, and they don't even hold well with their own matching cases by the same brand. Edited: The replacement loop lasted five months but fell apart in the same way. I won't be replacing. A $20-30 item of this size should last years, not months. If they don't fix the design so it either doesn't fall apart, or at least is fixable when it does, then they shouldn't be charging more than $1 for it. Edited to add: The third and final one of these from that original purchase (two originals, one "free" replacement that charged $7 shipping) has now experienced the same demise as the first two. So that's three of these in nine months, at nearly $30 apiece. Do not buy these things if you value your money.

I absolutely love this magnetic grip! I actually purchased it to use with my Kindle instead of my phone, and it works perfectly. It’s incredibly comfortable to hold and makes reading for long periods so much easier. The magnetic connection feels strong and secure, so I never worry about it slipping off while I’m reading or carrying my Kindle around. One of my favorite things about it is how cute it is. It adds a fun, stylish touch without being bulky, and when I’m not using it, it folds down nicely so it doesn’t get in the way. The quality is excellent, and it feels very durable. It’s one of those accessories that’s both functional and adorable, which is exactly what I was looking for. Overall, if you’re looking for a comfortable magnetic grip for your phone or even your Kindle, I highly recommend this one. Great quality, super cute, and definitely worth the money.

Beautiful and convenient MagSafe ring holder, looks and feels hefty and good quality. Does make phone feel heavier. Loved it except for the fact that only have days of use the ring does not stay flushed to the phone when not in use - its loose and flops around. I love it so much I have been trying to make it work but now it just feels flimsy and I worry it will just get snapped off. Also takes extra effort now to make it stay open when using it to prop the phone up. Some mechanism inside for the flap obviously broke? Will process return :(

I can’t live without a MagSafe pop socket! This magnet is extremely strong and I never had issues with it falling off. The pop socket itself is durable but I had two of these (Opal rings) and both ultimately had issues. With the first one, my magnet came out and I had to glue it back in. Then, a screw came loose so the ring would not stay in place. The same screw issue happened shortly after I ordered my second one. It was impossible to tighten the screws (trust me, I tried). At this price, I couldn’t keep ordering new pop sockets every time this happened but this was my favorite pop socket so I really wish it held up longer.

This phone grip is easy and comfortable to use. I would buy this again if I had to - it’s been more than two years and it’s still working very well with daily usage. Great alternative to a Pop socket - it’s soft on fingers compared to the metal phone grips or rings making it very comfortable to hold when reading. It accommodates various finger sizes. The magnetic grip has been great so far (good quality) - that’s with removing it almost every other day to secure my phone in my car phone stand. I added it on top of a strong Torras ring grip so that might have made it more secure. It’s scratch resistant - There’s no metal on the top part - just soft, durable rubber (so don’t have to worry about scratches) If the manufacturer is reading this review, it would be nice to have some more color options like orange and navy blue, or themed - NFL, colleges/universities, DC Comics / Marvel. And partner up with Torras to make it secure - which has worked for me so far.

First of all, it’s beautiful with the matching case, which I also love. However, in the last week (just 6 month after purchase) 1) the silver tone has worn through in high-friction locations, and 2) whatever gives the ring some tension so that you can make the phone stand any direction) has completely given out. Now, to be fair, it’s still perfectly capable of functioning as a loop to hold the phone with; it just doesn’t serve as a phone stand anymore. I might purchase another one because I love the case so much—still on the fence. I’d give it 3 stars—even after wearing out—if it woulda lasted a year. :/

I chose the twinkle ring grip to match the casemate twinkle case on my phone and they look *fire* together. The ring grip is magnetic so the reviews are accurate in the sense that it can come off depending on how you grab your phone. I have reached into my pocket or purse and if I grab my phone in a way that slides the grip circle base even slightly the magnet detaches so I’ve just had to adjust how I grab and hold my phone in that sense. I don’t pick my phone up and swing it by the grip it’s just there as support when I’m scrolling for a while. Otherwise, it is super sturdy. The magnet is strong. I dropped the entire grip opening the package on a wood floor and not even a scratch or dent so it can take a bit. The ring part slides around so you can adjust the support as needed when using and folds in and out to fit into a pocket or use as a stand. I’m very happy with it. For those looking for a grip that’s never going to risk detachment I wouldn’t choose a magnetic one I would choose one with adhesive. I did try the Popsockets one prior to this one and the design is different it is oval shape and includes more magnetic attachment as a result incorporating that extra magnetic line at the bottom of the circle. If casemate does the same the magnetic grip could be even stronger I look forward to them considering a similar design.
