Pieces are a bit large (for large dogs I guess) but the pieces are coated by a lot of coarse powdery food during the manufacturing process. Not smooth pieces at all. But the dogs like this food, so I can recommend.

I've a German Shepherd who is little choosy and he liked this food and adopted well to it as well. It's better than quite a few famous ones in Indian markets. I got the Packet a little torn but i'll leave that point as ultimately my Dog was happy with it.

This is a great product. Quality dog food actually saves you money. We have a 45- pound Mutt, she eats one cup twice a day. The other dog is a 75- pound goldendoodle, she eats 1 1/2 cups twice daily. Any more and they will get fat. Both dogs are quite active. Lesser brands have more filler. That equates to a whole lot of backyard clean up.

Our Berner has a wicked sensitivity to chicken protein so we put him on Hill's Science Diet Lamb and Rice. Worked a charm!. HOWEVER, my local stores (across 3 chains) always seemed to be low stock or out of stock for long periods, making it a concern on how I am going to keep my dog fed. I found this on here browsing one day and said why not to signing up for subscription delivery. I never run out, it's usually early in fact by a few days, and in most cases it is cheaper than purchasing it in the store by sometimes $20. Our Murph has never turned his nose up at it, always happy to chow down. He is a healthy weight and has lovely fur and lots of energy. I think it's a good food option for sure.

My shepherds love this food and are doing well with it !!!!!!!
