GUNHYI Waterproof 6-Layer Hatchback Car Cover,Size H1 (See Size Chart)

This is my second cover from GUNHYI. This one is slightly different. It fits my Infiniti G 37 better than the previous cover. They last about two years. I am happy with my choice!

I have another car cover that I bought a few yrs ago and its a good cover. However, this one that I purchased for my other SUV has a zipper to access the driver’s side door. I have both SUVs covered right now as its snowing and frigid. Both have the same quality and thickness - good quality and strong material. However, the one without the zipper, i have to unbuckle the back strap, pull the cover out a bit and squeeze into the car as I crack the door. The one that I am reviewing here w the zipper, I just unzip, open the drivers door, get in easily, start the vehicle and let it run for a bit and then turn it off, shut the door, lock it, zip the zipper closed and done! no squeezing or shimmying! Excellent quality and fit. Front and back marked so makes it easy to know how to put it on. Straps long enough to clasp easily AND has a middle clasp as well. Highly recommend!

HI, I am back since August 2019 I am using this cover in south Florida, Miami. We are April 3rd 2020, I just saw last week, end of March 2020 crack in the cover. And this day, 3rd of April 2020, a lot of cracks. Let's calculate, August 2019 to March 2020, it's only 7 months under the sun of Florida and I need already to look for a new cover. Very very very bad resistance to the UV and sun, and no warranty, so make a choice. I have photos of the cracks, came like that by itself, amazing. I got this cover very quickly, thank you Prime. I will tell in 12 years, it's may be my number 9 I got for my Porsche 911. I tried all kind of cover, from the 10 years, 5 years and 1 year warranty. The strongest was one of the cheapest I bought. My last one, tyvek cover last just a year, but protect very good my car. I already trying the Gunhyi, the product seems good, the fact it's silver will help for sure against the sun. The only problem/negative I had is the pocket mirror, if I put on my mirrors, I cannot cover well the front of the car, the pocket mirror are too close to the front of the cover. And I have a lot cover left in the back, weird, so I don't use the pocket mirror, look a little "stupid" on my parking space. In 6/10 months I will be able to tell you if this cover is a good product. The sun in south Florida destroys the paint of cars and the polycarbonate of the front light. I hope this cover can resist more than a year. See you in couple of months.

In continuous use from March 2025 in the San Francisco Bay Area to cover a Lexus IS250 temporarily displaced from the garage. As of 12/35 the cover shows no sign of damage from sun exposure. Not the hotest summer in recent years but several days >100F. Survived 20 days of valley fog and first rain storms of the season. No problems at all. Zipper entry to front door is handy and no sign of water leaks. Car going back into the garage soon. I hoped only that it would last for a year and not cause any paint or condensation issues and it has met my expectations.

I have been using this to cover my Kia Soul for the past 5 months. While technically this does cover my car, the fit is baggy and while the front does get under the bumper where I can run the strap to clip it together, the back and sides have extra material that essentially turn into a parachute when it gets windy. About once a week, the cover is on on the ground or caught on the fence next to the car. I tried actually closing the excess fabric in the hatch, which worked for about 2 weeks, then this morning I discovered that the front end of the cover had come free and and pulled the cover off. The clips do not hold onto the strap. After losing one l, I tied a knot in the other behind the clip to keep it from slipping. As I am primarily trying to keep my car protected from the sun (I have a lot of vinyl on my car), this works well when on the car and in place. I just would not recommend this cover for the 2011 Kia Soul, as it doesn’t fit snug or secure enough to stay put when there is any wind at all.

I ordered a "F2 - Fit Sedan length 182-191 inch" cover for my car, which is 186 inches long. I just tried to put it on the car and it is too short. It fits, if I really stretch it where the seams are pulling and the profile isn't fitting the car. It would probably tear eventually. I checked the box and it says "F1 - 182-191" so I'm not sure which is correct. Did they send me a smaller F1? Or did they change the labeling so the F2 is now F1? In either case, it is about 6 inches too short. The first photo is the back of the car and you can see how tight it is. The last photo is the front and I've indicated where the corner of the cover is in relation to the actual front corner of the car. The mirror pockets are about 18" too far forward, it is a universal fit, but 18" is a bit much. Again, see the photo. The silver coating is REALLY reflective. In the midday sun, it is blinding. I think I would get irritated with it after a while if I were to be keeping it. Very lightweight for something that says it has 6 layers. It is about as thick as my dress shirts. Maybe that would be good if I were taking this off and putting it in the trunk. The storage bag is a made of the same material that is used for reusable shopping bags. Ok I guess, but I would find something else to store it in. The hem is rolled over before being sewn in. No exposed edges. The seams look straight, but difficult to really tell since it is pulled really tight on the car. The edges of the straps are not heat sealed or otherwise finished, so they will unravel. In fact, it is already doing that before being exposed to the elements. Why a 1 star? It doesn't fit. It can be made of the best material, but if it doesn't meet the basic requirement, then I don't feel I can rate it higher. If it fit, I think I would have rated it three stars. Location of the mirror pockets, weight of the material, brightness in the sun, terrible storage bag, and If you are thinking about this cover, I would advise you to go one size higher. I had considered doing that, but figured that since I was in the middle of the range, I would have been good. Amazon is charging me to ship it back because I said it didn't fit. I should have said they sent me the wrong one or something. But live and learn I guess. I ordered an iCarCover (using an "i"? I didn't think someone would do that anymore). A bit more expensive. But it has grommets so you can lock the cover to the car, a better looking carry bag, patches for an antenna, three straps that snap to the buckles at the front, middle and rear of the car to help secure it, and it isn't reflective. The material feels a bit thicker also.

Even with hot sun exposure, it has a long lasting silver outer coating. The cover is fairly light and flexible. The fit is tight and stays on in strong wind. It does not leave a residue on clean car.

Updated Dec 28th 2023 - As reported the vendor had it on my step within a day and a half. Super. Needed as large coastal storm was forecast just after I had to store vehicle outside. The cover is absolutely waterproof and it remained attached during weather event that had very heavy rain along with severe gusting winds. The newly attached straps loosen slightly but remained attached and there was not damage to cover at all. Cover is just slightly longer than the S-10 stays in place very well. I’m impressed with the water repellency of cover and addressed concerns over the inside lining by installing my inside dust cover over truck first for additional protection. So early on cover is a good valve and provided exactly what it was I needed. Project forces truck outside with heavy rainstorm forecast here in New England so really appreciate the very quick response by vendor . Cover was here in a day and a half. Three stars as hasn’t been on long but it appears to have a nice water shedding silver colored exterior surface. Not particularly soft inside but not rough either. Has three wind straps and their attachment points have area reinforcement where they attach. All seams appear sound with decent stitching. This cover being used on a 46 Chevrolet 3100 haft ton and while length is a little longer than needed it’s not a problem.

Ojo con las medidas, compré la más grande (Longitud 191 a 200 Pulgadas) porque mi camioneta tiene la llanta de refacción expuesta en la parte trasera pero aún así quedó muy larga, es una Grand Vitara, pero fácil sirve para una Suburban. Pero los materiales se ven prometedores, sí resiste el agua, ya que no se ven filtraciones por las costuras. Voy a esperar como se comporta en primavera con las altas temperaturas.
