Turner acrylic gouache 24 colors set school (japan import)

I’ve used cheaper brands like himi before, but decided to finally try acrylic gouache (which I know can be on the pricier side). The paints are highly pigmented, have a buttery smooth consistency and when the black dries, it looks/feels almost like velvet— I love it! A reviewer on this page said they dry fast… I would not let that review discourage you. If fast drying is an issue, you can buy slow-drying mediums. Acrylic paint and acrylic gouache have completely different finishes. I love the flat colour finish of acrylic gouache, making it look almost like a digital painting.

Good selection of colours, great quality, easy to mix and use. However, the tubes are very small, so won't do many paintings.

This paint is good, nice and opaque and flat, but I didn't realise just how small the tubes were. If you doing small illustrations then its fine but a bit expensive for anything else. Bigger sizes are better value I think.

Really easy paint to use for both artwork and painting polymer clay The colours are vibrant and the paint is really creamy.

I’ve been painting with gouache for several years now and was intrigued to come across acryla gouache and wanted to try it out. The package arrived on time and in great condition, I decided to try it out and in my opinion it felt similar to using regular gouache only that you cannot mix it with a lot of water or any water at all which I struggled with as I like to build layers when painting with gouache. The color pay off is great when you only use straight from the tube, when you add water to it I found it had an odd consistency when putting it on the paper and didn’t enjoy how it worked. I think it’s great if you use regular gouache it’s great for adding highlights and last details on top but for the whole paintings I will stick with regular gouache.

Remember folks, this is a matte and opaque acrylic paint and it behaves as such. If you aren't used to acrylics then perhaps consider using some first as whilst the value of this is brilliant, you still wouldn't want to waste a drop of this paint! I've been using a wet palette to ensure I can use every last bit as the vibrancy is incredible and worth every penny
