The author introduces the town walk as a new role for greenways in merging city and country. As compelling as the idea is, it needs further development. Unfortunately, the work is an article-length idea turned into a book with far too much rehash of well-known information on greenways.

A well written book covering the ins and outs of urban walking routes. A must-read for anyone who is in the industry, but enjoyable for non-professionals, too, and those who are interested in ideas for improving their own tows and cities.
