Stick Dog: A Funny Graphic Novel Adventure Perfect for Reluctant Readers and Animal Lovers

From an enthusiastic reader aged 7: In this book, almost everything is super duper funny. Stick Dog is pretty smart and the other dogs are very silly. The introduction is very thorough and detailed and the story is fabulous. Tom Watson is a very good writer and describes well. Some of the words are hard but not too hard. I am excited to read the next book.

My 6 nearly 7 year old son found this book hilarious.

I chose a 4/5 rating for this book Stick Dog because I find it all so humorous! It was quite simple but a good read! It didn't take me long to read though. I would recommend people of ages 8+ to read this book. I am 11 years old and found it great, funny, but simple.

I bought this for my 10 year old daughter who loved it. She's massively into dogs so this was perfect and she finished it in a week which is great as it got her fired up for reading more books.

This taster got me hooked so much I am begging my mum to let me download the full book. I would advise you not to get the book if you want a free book because you will want the full book.

It was very good with a gripping story line. You will want to read more stick dog! The amazing story will have you in tears laughing.

My 8 year old son loves this book really has him laughing. Stick dog and his friends are great characters and have lots of fun together.

Great funny book for kids!

My son has struggled with learning to read and therefore is a very reluctant reader. Stick Dog was the first book he read all on his own, of his own accord and motivation. He was so proud to be able to do it, and I loved hearing him giggle as he read about the silly plans the dogs concocted. Tom Watson has a perfect formula for the 7-10 year-old child - the writing is accessible, yet still smart, and the humor is silly, but not over-the-top, and it's not loaded with inappropriate language (thank you!). When the second book in the series came out, my son was so excited he carried it everywhere and literally slept with the book. I've since recommended it to other mothers for their reluctant readers, and the response has been the same - it's the first book that many of them have taken the initiative to read on their own (girls and boys), and they also love it. I've also recommended it to several bookstores and schools as a great read for kids in this age group. Please, please, please, write more Stick Dog books - and soon!

The book is good but the delivery was expected to be on December 8th but arrived January 6th. It was meant to be a Xmas present. Disappointing!

What's not to like about Stick Dog. This book is in full color and has a bonus chapter. I wish all of the Stick Dog and Stick Cat books were in full color. As with all of the books, the pages are lined giving the appearance of notebook paper. The lines really help a kiddo with dyslexia follow along better.
